This is actually the second Little Green I’ve bought, which is probably the best recommendation I can give it. It’s one of those appliances that I didn’t realize how often I would use until I had one. It’s especially good for pet messes, spills, upholstery, and those random spots on carpet that absolutely do not justify dragging out a full-size carpet cleaner. I also like it for the car because the smaller size makes it much easier to get into seats and other awkward areas. The suction does a good job pulling the dirty water back out, and it’s both satisfying and slightly horrifying to see what comes out of something you thought was reasonably clean. It’s compact enough that storing it isn’t a huge hassle, and setup and cleanup are straightforward. Like any carpet cleaner, you do need to rinse everything out when you’re finished unless you want it getting gross, but that’s hardly unique to this machine. My first one got enough use that when I needed another portable cleaner, I didn’t bother experimenting with a different brand or model. I just bought the Little Green again. That pretty much sums up how I feel about it.

This is a really good little machine and cleaned our upholstery when we had a dog vomit issue and a spilled milk issue. Suction is good but the return suction blade could be improved to remove a bit more water without repeat passes. As a former carpet cleaning tech I recommend this as a low cost solution for a potentially much more expensive machine.

I’ve had this little green machine for about a year now and I’ve loved it the whole time. But after this last weekend I feel I need to finally write a review. If you’re on the fence about it, JUST GET IT! This Last weekend my family of 6 all got hit with what I can only describe as flupocolypse. I have done so much laundry and cleaned up so much bodily fluid and little green has been the biggest lifesaver! From the living room rugs to bedroom rugs and even my mattress, I’ve used this machine on so many different surfaces and textures and even sizes that I’m just so impressed with how easy it is to cleanup a mess. It works so well, like cleans super well and gets out stains, which also helps remove odors. I’m still recovering so I haven’t had the energy to do deep cleaning like I want to but little green is so easy to just plug in and get it done. The little hose cleaner attachment is wonderful too. My machine is always clean because they make it so easy to maintain. It’s very easily portable to carry anywhere I have needed it. And on an unrelated incident, while still sick, I had to clean a spill out of my car and it took my 5 minutes to get it cleaned, that time includes grabbing the extension cord from the garage, actual cleaning, and then putting it away. I love this machine. Buy it, don’t hesitate!

I'm not sure what I was expecting... maybe a miracle. Did not get the old stains out of the carpet, granted these were already months old and previous attempts were already made at it. The vacuum was not as easy to use as I thought it would be. It was bulky and cumbersome to hold and tote around. The tubing kept coming off the base as I moved it around the house for storage. Setting up the tank for use, once filled with warm solution, did not seal fully/sprayed out as I turned it over to place it in the base. I suspect this isn't an issue if you use plain room temperature water. The clean solution tank did not leak once it was fixed to the base, but yea, you won't want to do that prep just anywhere. The vacuum suction itself seemed adequate but not super powerful... I did have a wet spot on my carpet and I did end up just putting a fan over it for a few hours. To pick up any stains (or liquid) you have to move the handheld attachment and move it over VERY SLOWLY. Afterwards, cleaning the machine seems pretty easy on first use, however, I don't like having to figure out where to store the attachments. That said the build quality on the machine seems to be BISSELL good. Four stars because it does vacuum and spray and do all the things, 1 star removed for having to manage bulky attachments separately (no storage solution), leaking a bit during setup (following warm water instructions) and not performing the stain removal. :P

Update: Bissell customer support is spot on amazing! My pup wasn't a fan of this vacuum, so she chewed the plug off the cord when I wasn't looking. She doesn't chew on any other cord around my house so this was a shock. Omg I was in absolute tears! But they came to the rescue and are replacing my machine with something newer as it's under warranty. Malicious canine chewing falls under the warranty! Who knew! Original: This is amazing. Some may expect a lot from this vac, but I only want it to remove pet stains and remove the odor that's been wafting from my carpet. You see, my puppy who is now 9 months old had an interesting time potty training. So she basically went everywhere she pleased for a while until she grew up a little and knew she had two locations to go: the potty pad or outside. Not the rugs or carpet. Needless to say, it became time to find one of these kinds of vacuum cleaners, and I'm glad I did. I do a little spot at a time, but over the course of the month I have had it I have cleaned my living room carpet fully. It smells so much nicer now. I plan to spend the next few weeks cleaning the carpet of the dining room to eliminate the pee smell / pee stains. I say weeks and such because it's a large project for a small vacuum, and how slow you have to move with it. Eventually you get to the point where you're sick of vacuuming so you take a few days off to let the carpet dry. I could have rented something, or even called a pro, but I find this little vac to be just right for me. Does it take patience? Yes, yes it does. If you plan to do a large carpet, it may take a few days to do a full sweep. There is dry time involved, and cleaning the vacuum as well, but for the price - it can't be beat.

I’ve owned the Bissell Little Green Pet Deluxe (Model 3353) for nearly three years, and up until now, I would have recommended it without hesitation. It performed well, handled pet messes effectively, and seemed like a solid value for the price. That all changed today. When I pulled it out for a routine cleaning, it began leaking dirty water straight out of the base—rendering it completely unusable. After inspecting it, I discovered the issue: a deteriorated internal gasket seal. A tiny, inexpensive component, likely worth less than a dollar, has effectively turned a $110 machine into landfill waste. Here’s the real problem: that gasket is not available as a replacement part. Not from the manufacturer, not through official channels. Nowhere. So instead of a simple, logical repair, the only “solution” is to throw the entire unit away and buy a new one. That’s unacceptable. This isn’t just about inconvenience. It’s about design philosophy. Products like this should be built with basic serviceability in mind. When a single wear component fails, especially something as trivial as a gasket, there should be a clear and supported path to repair. The fact that there isn’t speaks volumes. I love this vacuum. I have a stand-up shampooer, but it’s too clunky to take upstairs. This one is easy to clean, lightweight, and easy to use. I recommend using for smaller areas, but it’s been really good at cleaning up urine, spills, and other bodily fluids.
