It works well. It drinks a lot but I believe that's why it cleans so well. You will be surprised at the amount of filth hiding in your carpet!! I noted that as the tank empties and the device becomes lighter the suction is not as good. I happened to have a 7lbs dumbell and I placed it on the device and the suction was amazing again!! The device is well thought out as you will notice when you start going at it. It's very easy to clean and the roller section can very easily be taken apart for cleaning. I have an induction cook top and I heat the water to exactly 140F, this also makes it work much better. Hot water out of the faucet is not warm enough. The carpet texture looks closer to the less used areas probably thanks to its double brush. I feel that based on convenience, cost, cleaning level and ease of use it's much better than renting a carpet cleaner. My last Bissell carpet cleaner lasted for several years. Maybe next time I'll upgrade but so far I think this model covered all my needs at a reasonable cost. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The vacuum quality is superb! I have a gray and white area rug that hasn’t been cleaned in about three years, and this machine pulled out most of the dirt, old urine stains from my sweet dog, and other spots I didn’t think would come out. This was my first deep clean, so I’ll probably do a second pass for an even better result. I used the Max Clean + Protect solution that came with it, since my rug really needed the extra boost. The vacuum was easy to use, though a bit heavy when filled with water. My rug is still slightly damp, so I’m waiting to see how long it takes to fully dry. I have deep-cleaned my carpet once since purchasing the Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus Upright Deep Cleaner. I bought this to replace one that had issues, spitting dirty water onto the carpet and spitting clumps of carpet fibers/hair/fur. I have four dogs and intend to use it more frequently. It did an excellent job of removing the dirt from my beige carpets. My carpets dried quickly. On the downside, I still had the issue with it spitting out clumps of carpet fiber/hair/fur. I had to go around and pick it up (not cool). It also left some dirty water spots whenever I turned it off, so I had to go back over to clean them up. I will continue to use it because it is pretty lightweight, the price wasn't too bad (purchased during Amazon Prime Days), and it is easier to fill/dump dirty water than my old one was. I still can't clean along the baseboards easily, nor can I clean underneath beds. ... show more

This Bissell is a big step up from my old Bissell that eventually broke after many years. We have two dog and two kids and is impossible to keep our carpets clean. The first thing I noticed is the suction is great! I didn’t feel like it was just surface cleaning, but really getting in there. The carpet was noticeably more dry than when using the old cleaner, because it is sucking up more of the water. It has two rolling brushes, which allows for a more thorough clean. When I did an initial clean on our rug I was going slow and repeating areas, so naturally I had to refill and empty out the waste frequently. But you could definitely do a quick clean and only fill it once. Lastly, and my most favorite, cleaning the rolling brush area is so easy!!! It pops off and you easy wipe out any excess dirt it has sucked up. ... show more

I've personally used this cleaner multiple times in our home, my wife was a huge fan of calling the brand name folks to come clean the carpets and I talked her into this device. It's simple to setup and load out the chemicals into the water tank. It's easy to use on both carpets and with the hand scrubber attachment thing too. I've cleaned all of the rooms in our home with this device and it's gross to see what comes out of your carpets. Overall we've been very pleased with the performance of this Bissell! Likes: -Priced less than a single house call for the brand name people -Chemicals for this can be found at your local grocery store -Easy to fill and easy to use, maneuvers easily -Performance this thing just sucks literally, so rewarding to see all the dirt and grime come out of your carpet or furniture Cons: -Weight, IDK what this thing weighs but don't buy it for your old frail mother because she won't be lugging it up or down the stairs this thing isn't light -Water tanks- This is probably the biggest detractor. When using the max setting the tank with clean water gets used up quickly, and the dirty water tank fills quick too. I suppose you can't have your cake and eat it too. ... show more
