I love this machine! My old bosses was on its last leg and decided to make an upgrade of my new purchase. Not only is it much faster to clean downstairs, it’s more effective than my old one. See pics for before and mid way to see the difference. This was on the deep clean setting and I went back through again the next day. Just wow. This is the first review I have given for a carpet cleaner...I purchase products based on reviews from other consumers and I wanted to give my opinion on this machine. I was very impressed with this particular product. I have owned several carpet cleaners over the years, all different brands, and this one is the best. I have also rented the machines from the store, they are much bulkier in size, but give a very good cleaning. This machine cleaned my carpets just as well as one of those but is much easier to use. I am really impressed with the suction power of this machine. I have two dogs and they both track in dirt and shed constantly. I had intended to clean my high traffic areas only, just to try it out, but this machine picked up so much dog hair and dirt that I had to finish the whole area. The areas I intended to clean were so clean that it made the areas that were "alright" to begin with look nasty. So, more work for me! But all I had to do was press a button and push the machine, not too bad. Don't be surprised when you realize how dirty your carpets really are after that first cleaning pass. The machine is very simple and easy to use, just add water and cleaning solution to one tank. The dirty water tank needs to be emptied frequently; I think that is because I put down a lot of solution during the cleaning pass. But, to me that is not a problem, there is a mixture of dirt and dog hair in there, so it fills up quickly. I still give this machine 5 stars for everything, having to empty a tank is not a problem for me, depends on how much solution you are putting on the carpet. I would definitely recommend this product; it is the best cleaner I have used to date. ... show more

Just got this about a week ago, used for the first time. Pro, it got out a few stains that have been there for a few years, expressed clean really does dry fast, it’s light weight and great for my two bed apartment. It was easy to fill and to take apart and clean after. It got out kid vomit!! Picked up a lot of dog hair. Con! It does in fact leak when you go to take out the dirty water jug. I took it into the kitchen and thankfully it wasn’t on the clean carpet. It’s a small amount but still messy. It also did not come with two trial size cleaner it said it would come with, only came with one but not a huge concern. Over all I gave it 4 stars because it holds a good amount of water and I was able to do an apt living room and hallway and not have to empty until I was finished. This thing is great. It's much more convenient than renting one, and you'll recover your money after a few uses. I suggest you read the following notes and copy them for your own use. - Buy a large bottle of the Pro cleaner (shown in picture). The samples provided won't last long. - Thoroughly vacuum the area you're going to clean just before shampooing with the strongest vacuum cleaner you own. - Plan how you're going to do the work so that you don't have to walk on the carpet afterward. - You don't need to shampoo the places where no one goes, such as under beds, cabinets, etc... You're focusing on "traffic lanes". - Take the cleaning tank off and fill it with hot water. - Pour cleaner in cleaner cap up of the large bottle to about ⅓ full and add to the tank. - Turn the vac on, hold the spray trigger, do one pass forward and one pass back at 1ft/sec, which is the normal pace of vacuuming (the spraying function happens when you push the vac forward and the recovery function when you pull it back towards you). - Release the spray trigger and do several other passes back and forth until the liquid stops flowing through the see-thru head. - When the motor whines at a higher pitch, turn the vac off (even if there's cleaning fluid left and the recovery tank doesn't look full) and dump the recovery tank into a toilet. If you keep going without dumping the recovery tank you'll notice nothing is flowing through the see-thru head; you have to dump the tank! - When the cleaning tank runs out, fill it up and dump the recovery tank while you're at it. - Wear some sort of hearing protection. The vac is loud and it will eventually get on your nerves. - Keep an old towel handy to clean up drips. If you don't know this yet, you'll realize the huge benefit of wearing slippers or house shoes indoors, instead of walking around in street shoes. The carpet should be dry to the touch in about 8 hours, max. If it's wet longer than that, you probably moved too slowly and saturated the carpet and possibly the padding under it, which is undesirable. ... show more

Arrived on time. Easy assembly. This is our first carpet cleaner that we’ve owned so I can’t compare it to any other than rental units which I hate. We moved here two years ago and don’t know the history of our lower level wall to wall carpeting. I suspect that this carpeting had never been cleaned. We did have two areas with significant stain from our dog’s urine. Easy to use and per the instructions we did the deep clean. The carpet looks and smells great. It dried pretty quickly. As others note the dirty water tank is small and hits the full mark before you use all the clean solution. But it’s quick to empty and when you see that dirty water it’s a pleasure. Cleanup involves a few steps but it was easy. The brush head cover comes off easily and the brushes can be cleaned. Another Honey Do completed. ... show more
