Wow! I read the reviews, saw the sale, and crossed my fingers for the best, but this exceeded my expectations. My dog peed on our area rug, and because we were so busy (and the hidden location of the tinkle) we didn't notice until there was an acrid, rancid smell of intense stale pee. I tried multiple pet focused products, but nothing helped to get the smell out. The Shark Stain Striker cleaner arrived today (5/12) and we put it together (so easy), followed the directions for the solutions it came with and got to work. Holy. Socks. And. Shoes. It got up the old, stale pee I had believed was already removed from the first clean AND helped completely deodorize the area rug as well. The water went down clear and came up amber yellow. After a couple of passes, the water was finally clear, the smell gone. (I 100% put my nose to the rug) TLDR? The room smells great and the carpet is actually clean. Bought this as a gift for my son, he immediately took it home and used it on his couch and little area rug. He said this machine is great, cleaned the couch and rug perfectly. He indicated it's very easy to use with a lot of suction power. He was able to also use it to clean the carpet in his car, which also turned out great! So far so good.. I’ve used twice for spot cleaning and it’s worked pretty well. I think it’ll be great for cleaning spots, vehicles, stuff like that. It would kill the back to try an use it to do an entire floor tho. But yeah I’ll give 4 star for now because I haven’t used it that much.

I am so happy to have a machine to clean up little spills or upholstery on my couch or car. It is easy to use, and I can use my non fragranced cleaners since I am fragrance sensitive. I like how easy it is to clean up the reservoirs and not have little hiding spots. One of the best features though is how to snap the cover on the end and flush out the vacuum tube so that dirt does not hang around and get stinky inside of it. For the price, this thing is great! It cleans well, has great suction and is overall a pleasure to use. I don't have pets, so can't say how well it is with pet messes, but it does have a separate attachment for collecting pet waste. This thing is amazing! It is light weight, has a good long hose, good suction, easy to use and clean. We have a large dog that likes to get up on our couches. Really loved this vac, it has helped so much with raising a puppy! Their shampoos smell great too. The only issue I've had, and it's a big one, is the hose has cracked multiple times which has rendered it useless bc it can't suction. The hose should be made with better more resilient material for sure, it's a type of plastic that can't withstand being moved in different directions. Outreached the manufacturer who was no help. Amazon was super responsive and I'm outside my return window but they still offered to replace it, I decided against that bc a new one will just have the same issue due to how poorly it's made. It ended up failing less than 2 mths after purchase. Luckily our puppy is older now and much better with potty training so I can hold off on finding a different one. I can't wait until I have hardwood floors so I can avoid this all together! ... show more
