As a mom of three cats, I mainly bought this for the occasional hairball mess, plus the inevitable spills from having kids and family around. I’ve already pulled it out a few times, and it’s been great for quick cleanups. The machine itself is really straightforward to assemble, fill, use, empty, and clean afterward. The spray and suction work well for regular messes, and I was surprised by how far one tank goes. I usually end up looking around for other spots to clean before I’m even finished! It’s also compact enough to store under my sink and easy to carry wherever I need it. I’ve had surprisingly good results on older stains too. I had a carpet stain from a spilled plant pot that had been there for over a year, so I pretreated it with BISSELL’s PET PRO OXY stain remover before going over it with the Little Green. It made a noticeable difference, and the stain was almost completely gone. Once everything dried, the carpet looked noticeably cleaner, felt completely normal, and you could barely tell there had ever been a stain there. It is loud, but about what I’d expect from a vacuum or carpet cleaner, so it doesn’t bother me. Definitely bothers the cats though. 😆 Honestly, I love this little thing. It’s convenient, easy to store and clean after using, and most importantly, it actually gets the job done.

Let me start by saying I have the worst luck when it comes to buying vacuums, mops, and comparable items, so when I purchased the standard Little Green machine here, I saved all the packaging with full intentions of most likely returning it. I do my research before buying, and the product never works for me but this thing was the exception!! I'm ashamed to say that my mattress is (was) disgusting. We've had it for several years, and it's one of those Purple ones so it wasn't cheap. My husband sweats like a you-know-what in church, so our mattress was covered in huge sweat stains and God only knows what else. It was friggin' gross. To make matters worse, we bought a $5k+ mattress, and I decide to cheap out by not buying a mattress cover! I figured that's what sheets are for. I know; I'm an idiot, but lesson learned! You need to buy a mattress cover, people! Anyway, I load this bad boy up today with the solution it came with and some warm water and I go to town on this bed. My jaw drops as I am watching these stains disappear like friggin' magic! Please understand, some of these stains have been there for years (Don't judge me). Certain spots took a little bit of elbow grease but it honestly wasn't bad at all! I have only done one pass on the top side of the mattress so far, so I'm thinking once it dries, I'll go over those stubborn areas again tomorrow but I am seriously impressed right now! I ended up having to fill the machine twice to get our mattress done today. I only went over areas where I saw a spot/blemish but that was a good amount of the mattress. I so wish I took before and after pics because I'm telling you, this thing works. It shows when you're finished too b/c that dirty water tank was a putrid brownish-yellow color. It makes me a little nauseated thinking we've been sleeping on this filth for so long but never again. I've got my awesome cleaner, and I've finally ordered a mattress cover! If you're thinking about buying the standard Little Green cleaner, DO IT! I can't speak to how well it works on other types of furniture/carpet and other types of stains but if it took on my mattress like it did, I can almost promise it'll work on whatever you're needing it for. You will not regret this purchase. If I have to give a con, I have only 1 small one and it is not a big deal. You fill the clean water tank through an opening at the bottom, and then flip it over to slide it down onto the machine. Well, my tank leaks a little bit when I flip it over but it really doesn't matter since I'm putting it back into place on the machine. It might leave a couple of drops along the way but I didn't care at all after seeing what this thing can do. I would 100% recommend this product. I'm seriously still in shock as I sit here looking at the difference it's made for my mattress.

Edit: it's been two years - it's leaked for a year now. Bissell sent a replacement tank while it was under warranty..leaking is actually worse now. going to start by saying, I have had this for 3 days so far and have cleaned my entire car, large sectional, and spot treated drapes. My review is comparing the pet pro upright I've had for 4 years to Little Green. I wasn't paid for my review. Things I love: it's compact and light weight. There's no hassle to put away or carry. Cleaning this is so much easier than the upright, especially the dirty water tank. The two attachments are perfect, unlike the pet pro that I felt came with many unnecessary and confusing attachments. The dirty water tank is sooo easy to empty and fits perfectly, no awkward jumbling of trying to put it back in it's place. The hose is truly the perfect length, not too short and not too long. I appreciate the fact that it's connected to the machine and has its own holder. No more lugging the hose and attachments around like with the pet pro. Much quieter than my upright as well. Here's how Little Green did... In the car- it tackled nearly everything I threw it's way. My seats were stained from Armor All, it took the stains out easily. Red clay stains, drink spills, paw prints, and chocolate stains came out without tons of effort. The brush didn't wear down the upholstery on the seats. The suction was strong enough to leave the seats and carpet lighty damp, close to dry. The only area that I wasn't completely happy with was the fabric overhead/on the visor. It moved the dirt around and reduced the stains however, it didn't deliver in removing the stains completely. The drapes: red clay/dirty dog paw prints. I had to let the solution saturate and marinate the fabric. It took a few swipes and the dirt came right up. No discoloration at all. The sectional: Way easier than the pet pro to move around and no carpet burning. The pet pro burned my carpet from staying stationary for too long(my fault for not using the tray) while in use. My only qualm- it didn't stain remove like it did in my car, some stains required multiple passes. The suction delivered though! The machine is compact that it was easily to get the arm rests, backrest, and all other upholestry smoothly. With my pet pro, there's lots of adjusting involved using the hose. Things I do not like: the spray hose dispenses quite a bit of solution in a somewhat clumsy way- it easily drenched what I was working on. Due to the drenching, fabric can't absorb the liquid as quickly as it was being dispensed, leading to the solution running down what I was working on if not flat. Be prepared to wipe down other surfaces. It doesn't quite spray in a clean line. Solution also drips from the dispenser on the attachment when not triggered. The tank is small and due to the spray issue, I find myself refilling the liquid tank quite often. Personal pet peeve: Bisell does not make universal cleaners, this requires seperate solution for my upright and little green. Overall, I love it. I'll be doing my carpeted stairs along with a few mattresses later on today. It's worth the price however, if you enjoy refreshing your home as often as I do with steam cleaning- be prepared for the solution cost. Do yourself a favor too, buy a full size solution if you invest in Little Green. The solution it comes with is good for a little less than 4 tanks.

I wanted to wait to write a review until I had tested the Little Green on multiple types of stains on various fabrics/carpets, and it has not disappointed. So far, I've had 100% success cleaning up cat vomit, dog bile, and mud. These stains were cleaned off a wool throw rug, nylon/polyester blend carpet, and polyester upholstery, respectively. I used the provided Bissel Spot & Stain Febreeze solution and didn't find it to have an overwhelming scent. Pros: - It works which is the biggest thing for me! Plus, a couple of these stains, like the cat vomit one on the living room wool rug, had been there for months and nothing I tried would get it out. - The machine is relatively light to carry around and is compact to stow away when finished. - I liked that the electrical cord was very long which made it easy to use in rooms with only a few outlets. - Any animal lover will know that no matter how much vacuuming you do, there's always going to be some stray hairs left behind. I'm pleasantly surprised that the Little Green has yet to get clogged while I've been cleaning. I always wash the pieces after each use, but it seems like my Lab's hair could clog anything. But, not Little Green! Cons: - I wish I could remove the hose completely to clean it, but the parts that can be removed to clean are easy to do so. - When you load up the water-solution mixture into its tub and turn it upside down to install it into the machine, it does leak a little bit. Once it's in the machine, it doesn't continue leaking but it did catch me off guard the first time I used it thinking I did something wrong. - I wish the instructions told me how best to use each of the attachments. It tells you how to install them, but I had to search online for more guidance on appropriate usage. Overall, the cons are very small things compared to the pros. Especially if you have animals (or children), I would highly recommend this little guy. I've been telling family and friends about it ever since I got mine!

I don’t know about what the influencers have said about this —I’m not big on influencers, and I’m not easily influenced—solid testing and reviewing web sites placed the Bissell Little Green Machine at the top of their lists, or minimally second. Packed well, and easy to unpack, the unit came just as advertised: machine, trial-sized Bissell cleaning formula, HydroRinse Self Cleaning Tool, 3” Tough Stain Tool, and the Spraying Crevice Tool, Instruction booklet. Assembly of the two parts that needed to put in their permanent positions was simple, with clear instructions, and required just a Phillips head screwdriver. The hose is a bit short, but the power cord is long enough to allow for a lot of movement. The unit is very lightweight and easy to move around. I’m a farmer, and I purchased this to clean my truck and my upholstered recliner, both of which can get really filthy. Both have a lot of dirt to deal with, and my elderly dog has peed on both. I’ve used enzyme spray on both, and that kept the odor under control, but it was clear that a deep cleaning was needed. I decided to start with just water to see how how much dirt, stains, and odor I could clean up. In the truck, using the Tough Stain Tool, I sprayed the seats and carpets with water to get things loosened up. After a few minutes, I began the cleaning. It was so easy! The trigger activated a warm water spray from the clean water reservoir, and the vacuum sucked up the water and dirt. It was easy to see when the water was vacuuming up clean, and when there was no more water to pull out of the upholstery. I went over the carpet once, as it’s pretty much a lost cause, but the seats twice. An unbelievable amount of filth came out during both cleanings, and the seats were sparkling clean and odor free. They dried rapidly indicating that the vacuuming truly did extract most of the water used in cleaning. Then, I turned to the recliner. Also using just warm water, I went over the seat, footrest, and arms as they were the most soiled. Again, an astonishing amount of dirt was pulled out, but the odor remains. I’m interested to see how the pet odor cleaning fluid will work on this, and I’ll do it again soon. At the end of cleaning, it was simple to pop off the dirty water reservoir, dump the contents, then rinse it out. The hose cleaning tool made it easy to rinse out the hose leaving it clean. Packing up for storage is easy with a bracket to wind up the power cord neatly, a bracket that holds the hose tight to the vacuum body, and places to hold the accessories. I’ve already recommended this to several family members and friends. It is terrific.

This little thing is great. We had a few items with some combination of simple water stains and food stains. One was an upholstered headboard, the other were a few car seats. This removed all stains from both and they look like new. Easily saved me the money from having it done professionally, and only took about 30 minutes of my time. One key is knowing that the stains you often see after getting something wet is the line of dust/debris that the water pushes along. So when you clean a surface, you need to clean it up to an edge where the water stain won't propagate.

This is a great spot cleaner. Very good suction and it cleans well so there isn't stale leftover mess in the vacuum. Its lightweight and easy to move around and keeps the carpet pretty dry after use. I primarily use this for dog accidents in the house or if my kid spills something, much better than the taller vacuum carpet cleaner we had. Wife also likes this to clean her car upholstery at times and says it works well for that.
