Easy to use. The cleaning results were visible immediately even on carpet that did not look dirty. The directions were clear and simple. You definitely need to read and follow the directions to protect your carpet and flooring, but it is truly basic common sense instruction. Nearly all of the water was removed by the cleaner and the carpet was dry very quickly (within about 30 minutes). This machine makes no more noise than a regular vacuum cleaner. It is light enough to maneuver but still sturdy enough to do the job. The machine can handle a whole house carpet clean and is a reasonable choice for a limited area touch up. The price is around the cost of a one-time rental. For a hallway and small dining room deep clean, I filled the tank two or three times. It takes about two minutes to empty, clean, and refill the tank. If you can use a similar vacuum, you can handle this carpet cleaner. ... show more

Best freaking thing I've bought for my house. I have a new puppy so a shampoo vacuum is essential. It cleans up urine, vomit, and picks up so much hair and dirt. The media could not be loaded. Works like a charm—powerful and easy to use I was pleasantly surprised by how well this carpet cleaner performs. I initially put it together just to test it out, following the directions, and ended up cleaning two bedrooms and a couple of area rugs because it worked so well. It removed several "stains". Therapeutically speaking it tweaked my cleaning compulsion!!!! It’s easy to assemble, lightweight, and very effective at pulling up dirt and refreshing carpets. The included cleaning formulas are a great bonus and handled everyday messes with no problem. The only drawback is that I wish the dirty water reservoir were larger, since it fills up quickly when you’re doing multiple rooms. That said, it’s a small trade-off for how well it cleans. But I suppose that's what those larger rental units are for- "industrial" like cleaning. I'll trade the handy convenience of pulling this one out the closet . Overall, this machine does exactly what it promises and is perfect for regular home use. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend. Works really well for small rooms with carpets . I found the suction and cleaning power to be as strong as I expected. You do need to change the water frequently but with a device that’s as sleek as this and easy to use I kinda expected it. That’s why sears uses those big water tanks. it does make your carpets smell brand new and really takes the black gunk up to surface level really like this quality and performance for a fair price ... show more

I have always liked Bissell products and this one does not disappoint me. It's smaller than the previous one, but it works better. It is easy to use and you do not have to constantly clean the brushes after each use. You have to empty it more often than the larger cleaners, but I don't mind because it makes a big difference when it comes to cleaning the carpet. I also like the smaller tool for upholstering stairs or upholstery. I wish I had a before and after because this small machine does a great job! ... show more

Great for deep stains. I have a god who constantly is marking things since this is a new apartment and it came it perfectly for that purpose. Deep cleans and gets the stains out. I can tell my carpet wasn’t cleaned before I moved in because it pulled so much dirt from the carpet when I first used it. It does spray a little rapidly so make sure you’re only holding the trigger down as needed. My water gets really hot from the pipes in my building and it was the perfect level of heat needed to get the job done! It sucks up the water very well so when you’re done it’s like a slightly damp feeling not too wet and not dry so it doesn’t take long to dry up! Overall 9.5/10 ... show more

This carpet cleaner works really well. Very easy assembly, which took less than 5 minutes! It’s not any louder than a regular vacuum and lives up to its title. It lifted some seriously nasty stains that had been in the carpet since we moved in from the previous owner, which has been bothering me a lot. You can see an insane difference after a few passes. The only minor downside is that the clean water and dirty water tanks are pretty small, so you’ll have to refill and empty them more often. If that’s something that would annoy you, I’d recommend going with a bigger model. Other than that, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and I’m happy with it. ... show more
