  • Best rug shampooer I've used
Style: TurboClean XL
I have rented many "rug doctor" industrial shampooers and this one works better than any of them! The attachment it comes with is great for furniture, vehicles, corners, etc, and gets deep stains from kids and pets out and doesn't leave the carpet soaked, and when you're done using it, it comes apart very easily to clean and is cheaper than what you pay in stores and if you rent them often you will definitely get your money's worth. Comes pretty much assembled so is easy to use right out of the box and is easy to use! Have used this a dozen times so far and has held up great with no issues. ... show more

  • Fun to Use Carpet Cleaning Vacuum
Style: TurboClean XL
This is a really easy to use Wet Stain remover vacuum. I use really warm sink water. Filling up the tank is really easy. You would think that using it is a dreadful experience, but it is so fun to use that it feels effortless to clean your carpet. I enjoy how much dirt it removes from my carpet and how nice it makes my carpets smell. I think I might try different carpet cleaner soaps with it considering how effective it works. I am really pleased with the purchase and it is well worth my money. Draining and cleaning the water tank was easy and fun for me. There is that sense of fun when you see how dirty the water starts and after a few cycles, your carpets and wash water are a lot cleaner. ... show more

  • Good power, but watch for lingering marks
Style: TurboClean XL
What I like: It has good suction and brush agitation — it picks up embedded dirt, pet hair and grime more effectively than many light-duty carpet cleaners I’ve tried The “pet” focused features (like the specialized pet tool and odor treatment option) are useful and practical if you have animals in the house. Setup and breakdown is fairly straightforward: fill the tank, rinse, exfoliate carpet, empty tank — no major hassle. The unit seems build solid and comparatively lightweight for its category (makes it more manageable to push across the carpet). What could be improved: After cleaning, I noticed some faint rectangular marks in the exact areas where the vacuum/cleaner base sat during use. Essentially, the track of the cleaner is slightly darker or damp-looking until it fully dries. This is most visible on lighter-colored carpets and is a little disappointing since I expected a more uniformly “cleaned” look. The drying time is decent but not outstanding — while the manufacturer claims “dry in hours,” I found it takes more time in heavily soiled areas or where the machine worked slowly. The water/solution tank capacities are moderate; for very large rooms you’ll be doing multiple fills/empties. Verdict: If you’re dealing with pet messes, or have older carpets that need refreshed, the TurboClean Pet XL is a solid choice — it’ll do a better job than basic rentals or handheld models. That said, if your carpet is light-colored or you’re very picky about blot-free appearances, be aware that you might see faint “track marks” where the machine passed. In short: strong performance but with a small aesthetic trade-off. ... show more

  • Much better than my Hoover Power dash Pet!
Style: TurboClean XL
We bought this shampooer after the Hoover power dash pet one died. After taking it apart we realize there was a flaw in that design and allowed water to get into the motor. So we purchased this one and was quite surprised at how much more solution it held! Especially since it wasn't very much bigger than the Hoover. The carry handle is in the perfect spot in the middle making it easy to lift. The solution container is a really great size for this size of shampooer. And the waste container actually holds quite a bit as well. Our Hoover didn't even hold the amount of solution that was put out which seemed really odd. This one also will stand on its own so that you can fill it. It won't leak either. My old one had a tiny hole to allow air to come in to push the solution down so I had to plug my finger over the hole while I filled it up and then put solution in. That was a huge pain. This one I just said it in the sink I fill it up and put the solution in. Dumping the dirty solution is SO much easier than our old one! I can actually dump this in the toilet and don't make a mess! One of the major pluses of this one over the Hoover that we had is the ability to clean the waste tank. Cleaning the Hoover was a nightmare. I had to take it outside and use a hose and still could never get it fully clean. This one actually has a large cap on the bottom of it that you can unscrew to remove a section of it and I can fully clean it out very easily. This is such a huge plus because anytime there is even a little bit left in our old one it would start to stink very quickly. Now on to the cleaning. Get ready to see some black water! I was absolutely shocked at how well this pulled dirt and pet hair out of our rugs. We do not have carpet so we have area rugs and runners. This does a fantastic job of cleaning it. The attachment for the upholstery cleaner is way easier than our old one however I wish it had a rotating brush and a little bit of a wider head so that it could suck more solution up. I do wish that you could take the entire plastic front off to clean pet hair that has stuck to the front of it. There is one section that pops off but I find that hardly anything even gets in there. It's still easier than my old one though. My old one I had to take it outside and hose it out. With this one I wait for the pet hair to dry then I flip it over and unscrew the section for replacing the belt that way it loosens the brush. Then I can just use my finger to wipe out the now dry pet hair. You can do this wet but I find it yucky so I wait for it to dry because all the hair just sticks together and it doesn't feel gross. Then I just reattach that little section with the two screws. It is on the noisy side but I have yet to find a shampooer that is not noisy. But it's not so noisy that I need to wear at earplugs or anything. There is very little water leakage when you turn it off. Most shampooers allow some of the dirty water to come back out because it hasn't gone fully up the tube. This one has very minimal water dripage. Would definitely by again. ... show more

  • Actually makes more mess than it cleans. Buy literally anything else.
Style: TurboClean XL
Nothing about this works the way it should, and I'm livid I spent almost $200 on this pile of garbage. Notes on why as follows: -Dirty water tank doesn't actually hold a seal; if you don't empty it literally the minute you're done it will redeposit all of it right where it's sitting. Have fun grabbing a drink of water and coming back to a nasty new puddle on your floor. (No, this wasn't a one-time "maybe I just did seat it right" problem. It simply doesn't hold the liquid. I've taken to setting it in a large tray while I work so if it drains while I'm spot cleaning, at least it's contained) -the spray function on the handheld spot cleaner attachment worked only twice. Want to dispense cleaning liquid? Detach, use the system in the classic vacuum way to dispense, reattach the hose, and carry on. -Cleaning fluid reservoir spontaneously drains entirety of its contents all at once. Delightful waste of whatever product you're using while also making a new area to have to suction dry. -Only the hose actually picks anything up. Tried doing the living room, noticed the dirty reservoir was suspiciously empty. Doing that much area with the spot cleaner attachment? Horrendous waste of time. But leaving that much damp carpet to just air dry and hole for the best? Also not good. -connection between hose and body frequently unseals. So as you spot clean an area, a small fountain of dirt water is just pooling out underneath the vacuum body. This, coupled with the inability of the dirty reservoir to actually contain the dirty water, makes for a beyond terrible experience if you're, say, cleaning up after a pet has had an accident on your carpet. You now have urine in TWO places, mixed with plenty of liquid carrier and being given extra time to soak further in to your carpet, the pad, and the concrete underneath. Have fun getting rid of the smell now that it's set that deep. This piece of garbage can and will double the problem or worse. You're better off just trying to soak out as much as you can with a towel and dousing the area with some kind of cleaning product like back in the day before we had these types of appliances. Considering Bissell is supposed to be a major name in this space, I'm thoroughly disappointed and honestly never going to trust another one of their products again. A harbor freight knockoff would likely be more reliable. ... show more

  • Yay Bissell
Style: TurboClean XL
This is a great carpet cleaner. The tanks are large! Its a bit heavy, but that is a good thing which means it is not all plastic. Heavy duty is good for me. My carpets are looking great. It really outshines the Shark I recently bought. The pet stains are gone. I recommend this product!

  • Gets the job done
Style: TurboClean XL
There was very little assembly required. This product is perfect for all rooms. My 15-year-old son loved cleaning his room and it was very easy to handle. A couple of trips over a spot that needed removal and it worked perfect. I would recommend pretreating a stubborn spot just to help the process out a bit. Easy storage for all your attachments and so far, it has been a great value for the money. ... show more
