It's the perfect hose! I am a relatively new homeowner with a small yard that I am trying to turn into a lush, thriving garden. A neighbor gave me a vinyl hose; one try was enough to convice me to get rid of it as it kinked its way to all the plants. Extremely annoying. I then bought an $80 rubber hose here because I had read, heard and seem to recall hearing that pure rubber hoses did not have that problem. Not true! I am beyond annoyed that this hose was not soft and bendable as I recall ones from years before being but that it was almost as bad as the vinyl one in terms of kinks. I hated using it. (I haven't returned it despite the price because I no longer have the box and, well, good luck to me getting it back in the box even if I did have it. So I went browsing again and came across this metal one. Well, let me say this has been heaven on earth. Even my gardener thinks so. It is surprisingly lightweight but feels solid and sturdy. I do not expect this to crack or have other problems. And NO kinks! Absolutely none. This thing rolls like a dream; it is so easy to move it from one faucet to another. I have recommended this to a number of people with great enthusiasm, and I do so here too. (Plus, the price was much lower than the rubber hose. Major win.) ... show more

I ordered this hose out of frustration in this never ending heat wave and the need to reach even further out to water plants. I liked the idea of a truly no kink hose, and it looked pretty. It was delivered but in the meantime I figured out how to reach where I needed without it, so there it sat, unopened, for nearly a month. I thought I should really at least open it before sending it back. My husband declared it too small a diameter. Looks like 1/2 inch, therefore not enough water will pass, he said. So there it sat for another couple of days. I went to box it up and dang! A stainless steel hose get super hot in 108° temps! That's it. It's going back. I can't use a hose I can't touch in the summer. Except now I missed the return window by 1 day. Shoot. I guess it's mine and I'll just have to deal with it. So here's what I found. This is a GREAT hose! Plenty of water comes out of it. It coils downs neatly into a flower pot and effortlessly uncoils as I pull it out across the yard. It weighs NOTHING and is so easy to move around the yard. As soon as water is passing through it the stainless instantly cools down, negating my concerns with burning my hands. The included nozzle sprays a stream super far. I can reach most of my flower pots without moving a step. When finished I can quickly and easily coil it back into the flower pot. No more ugly heavy rubber hose jumbled up, laying around to be tripped on. Just sorry I didn't open this up sooner. ... show more

Great for 5'-2" 120lb wife to maneuver around the garden. We had a 1/2" Dia hose that finally gave out so I bought her a commercial grade 3/4" water hose that was just too heavy, bulky and hard to move around. At the recommendation of George, an old friend he tells me at breakfast "buy THIS! Bionic Steel (shows pic on cellphone) I have one and it's great" He's had his for a year using it every day in his garden. So I bought the 50' version. Too short. Darn. I packed it back up and returned it and immediately bought the 100' version. It's great! This hose is unbelievable, light and easy to roll up on the hose reel. Its size is in-between the 1/2" and 3/4" at 5/8" which is super. The wife loves this Bionic Stainless-Steel hose! Thank you! ... show more

I have wrestled with hoses of every length and price range, all claiming to be "kink-free" and "durable." Besides kinking and snagging on everything in their way, they were always HEAVY, which meant I tended not to put them away (tripping hazard!). When my last traditional hose started to spring leaks, I decided to try something different. I've only been using this hose a couple weeks, but so far can attest that this hose rolls up and unrolls easily (I put it away!), glides right by obstructions and NEVER kinks. Oh, and it moves water from the hydrant to my plants just fine. I'll update my review if anything changes, but so far I am very, very happy. ... show more

I have to admit that this hose is easy to easy, it does not get tangled up and it foes not kink. It light weight, easy to coil up and has nice pressure. The reason I gave it 3 stars was the fact that after one month, I noticed it already has a dent it the hosing. I definitely never ran it over with anything heavy, it it must be from me accidentally stepping on it. Of it bents or crushes just from standard body weight then that’s not very durable. ... show more

I purchased this hose to replace a heavy - heavy duty 25ft hose after using the Bionic Steel Hose at my daughters Urban Farm. The reason for the 100ft is my home backups to Natural Area Open Space - NAOS in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. Fire is a constant concern with the dried out plants and grass. The Bionic Steel is incredibly light weight and easy to pull around for hand watery. Instead of struggling to coil up a hose when done using I just lay it into a Milk Crate. Not sure how it will hold up in the 110+ heat we have or the rough surface but glad to give it a try with the generous warranty. ... show more

This garden hose is so much nicer to use than the expandable cloth hoses. I went through several of those before my sister referred me to this steel hose. It is easy to pull around my yard and does not kink up. Different nozzles can be used on it. Storing is easy. I have two. One in back yard and one in front. Going on my 2nd year for both. I store in garage over the winter months. Best hoses I have had in several years 😁 ... show more

Only thing wrong is the pressure of the water coming from the hose. My 5/8 hose, when attached to the sprinkler covered my yard from side to side. This is no where near reaching the edges, so I have to move it in increments, taking more time and wasting water. It also has no pressure when using a normal nozzle, again taking more time when I am watering only the plant beds. It is light, it is easy to move around which are huge pluses. Can't find one like it with the 5/8" so I had to buy another hose. Keeping this one just because I got rid of the box. ... show more
