  • Couldn't Have Just One!!
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
I have two of these bad boys in my 02 Suburban powered by two Pioneer GM5400t amps one bridged for each tube. My head unit is a Pioneer AVH P4400bh with Pioneer GM D9500f 4-channel amp for the Polk Audio db641 door speakers. Let me tell you this combination produces awesome results with the Bazooka 12's being the standouts. These things have phenomenal bass reproduction. Anyone who has never experienced bass tubes are absolutely amazed at the amount of and cleaness of the bass in my truck from such a reasonable space requirement. Anyone who has had a bad experience with these either got a defective product (one of the ones I ordered came with shipping damage) or is not using it properly. As for the quality of the subwoofer, the proof-is in-the pudding; Bazooka's 12" passive tubes are absolute winners!!! I am also very pleased with all of the Pioneer products I have purchased. So, if you want a truly badass system in your Suburban/Tahoe at a great value - $1452.80 total including cables, backup camera, and parking brake overide - then the setup I just described should more than satisfy. Did I say I Love My Tubes!!!! ... show more

  • Go punch over tubes
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
For $199.99 you can do much better . The 12inch bazooka tube is weak. I have a 12" compR kicker in a ported box at a cost of $219.99 and it hits twice as hard. I also have a 12" punch p3d4 in a small sealed box which ran me under $200.00. This also hits much much harder than the tube it cost less and takes up less space. Years ago sas bazooka was the way to go because no one knew a damn thing about proper box design. Don't waste your time with a crappy tube. Want cheap but good , go with a prime amp the 250 or 500 get the p2 or p3 punch sub. Total cost $200 to $250 bucks . You will have real thumps. ... show more

  • I've ALWAYS USED BAZOOKA TUBES in My Vehicles & THIS is their BIGGEST & BEST
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
INSTALLED in my VAN with an Amp Rated at 1100-1500 Watts Picks up the LOW END VERY GOOD, ROBUST, GREAT SOUND for the Size, your BEST OPTION Short of Competition.

  • sounds ok but worst speaker terminals ever
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
sounds good but doesn't hit the low bass below 40-45Hz, and the most poorly designed speaker terminals ever! those awkward thumbscrews turn a 5-second task into 5 mins, no joke

  • Surprised!
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
I've been tinkering with car audio now for 20 years. Always used subs in a custom box. I had been running 3 jl audio 10" subs in a sealed box and loved it. A friend of mine was thinking about a bazooka for his boat. Having never tested one against a sub system I know in my own vehicle, I went for this. This single 12" tube has basically the same output as the 3 10s do. The tube is ran at 2 ohm, the subs had a 3 ohm load....so in fairness, the 3 10s are louder. The only difference I see is less output under40hz from the tube. I just switched vehicles and have it in a new mustang gt and it is awesome, and lightweight! Easily 50 lbs saving over that box! UPDATE: So about 2 years into owning, the bass really fell off. The whole backside had fell off the tube. I had to glue it back together. The terminals were also spinning when trying to tighten the horrible terminals. It still sounds good considering the low weight, and price. Thinking of going with a Pioneer champion 12" and a box though....it leaves me feeling unsatisfied. ... show more

  • Enclosure = great, Subwoofer = complete GARBAGE
Style: 12" 4 Ohm DVC
I'm not sure what happened to Bazooka/SAS products over the years, but it seems that they've gone the way of cheap Chinese made junk. The enclosure is thin plastic.. the mounting terminals are cheap and poorly made.. and worst of all, the subwoofer itself is complete garbage and will blow when hooked up to even a modest amp. I'm looking at having to do what many people have done which is keep the enclosure and just pay to put in a different yet quality sub. Such a joke. I'm on my second tube.. and at least this one lasted for a day vs the previous one lasting for about 10 minutes. You're paying for a design, NOT quality here. ... show more
