  • Amazing product for the money
Although it doesn’t get full range it does produce super deep bass with clarity. Can’t beat it for the money!

  • Worth The Buy
Figured I’d help anyone out who’s in the market for one of these. Not sure what happened with the guys shipment that rated 1 star but mine took 2 days. I live in VA and I think it got shipped from Cali. However, they will only ship to a business and not a residential home. I had it shipped directly to my installer so I didn’t care. I’d recommend both the seller and the subwoofers. I’m running a 1800 watt amp at halfway for now. Unbelievable flex. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY FROM HIFI SOUND CONNECTION
The product is amazing, the company that i ordered from is one of the worst places ive ever dealt with, took 16 days to receive my item when it was 2 days prime shipping, then they had excuse after excuse, do not buy from hifi sound connection

  • It's not tuned to 31 hz but it's nice.
The subs moved a lot playing a 31hz test tone. They moved the least playing a 38hz test tone. The port dimensions not counting the flare are 7" x 16" x 21" approximately. I estimate the box volume minus the port and displacements to be about 7 cubes. It would have to be over 10 cubes with those port dimensions to be tuned to the stated 31hz. Big D Wiz didn't bring it up in his review but I don't blame him, he got his for free. It looks beautiful, it's exceptionally well built, the price is great for what it is. I'm giving it two stars because they lied about the tuning. If they told the truth and said it was tuned to 38 I'd give it 5 stars. But I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was tuned that high. ... show more

  • If You Want a LOT of Bass, Look No Further
I received an early production version of this massive subwoofer box directly from Kicker. First thing to note, is if you buy off Amazon, you should expect a few weeks for delivery. This box is so big and heavy it must be delivered by a freight truck and the kind with a Tommy Lift on the back so it can be delivered residentially. I see another reviewer left a one star due to the delay in delivery...you should expect this, but I agree Amazon should also set the expectation. On to the L7R Quad Box. What can I say? Wow is what comes to mind. It's a BIG subwoofer box measuring approx. 36 x 28 x 21 inches and should fit in most SUV's, even the small ones (you should measure to check). Dean from Five Star Car Stereo showed this box fitting in a Ford Escape. In my case, I used it in a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, which is large enough to fix a few of these. Sorry, I digress. Back to the Quad Box. Four Dual 2 ohm L7R subwoofers in a large box that can really put out some bass. The box is constructed of Baltic Birch with internal bracing and threaded inserts for the subs. The box is tuned to 31Hz and will play well below that frequency in vehicle. There are 2 terminal cups for hooking up your amp and each are 2 ohms, so the box can be wired to 1 or 4 ohms to a mono amp, or you can use an amp per terminal if you want (important to ensure they are the same brand/model amp and gain matched). As for my experience, I tossed the Quad Box in the back of my 2001 Toyota Sequoia and would recommend you have a friend or two to help as the box is nearly 200lbs. I initially hooked up a Kicker KXA2400.1 amplifier, which provides the recommended 2400W RMS power output to match this subwoofer setup. Right off the bat, I could tell this box was WAY more than I needed. The bass was deep, tight and overwhelming at times. I used ear protection to do some SPL tests using my SSA APM-2 wireless bass meter and the first try I hit a 148dB. Please understand, I'm not an "SPL Guy" and my vehicle is NOT setup for SPL applications. It is literally a stock 2001 Toyota Sequoia with the 3rd row of seats removed. After some additional testing and repositioning the box, I was able to hit just over 150dB with a 47Hz burst tone. I was blown away that you can buy a box straight from Amazon that's capable of hitting 150's, but yeah this one is. I'd stress this is not the intent of the sub box though. It's designed to be a demo box to impress your friends and rattle your rearview mirror with as little as a few hundred watts. The subwoofer box is very efficient, meaning it doesn't take a lot of power to get a lot of output, but give it 2400'ish watts and be prepared to be uncomfortable. Kicker has a winner here and I'm blown away with the quality, price and performance of this L7R Quad Box. If you are ready for some serious bass, then look no further. Just remember to pump up your bass responsibly, not everyone likes to have their car shaking at the stoplights... ... show more

  • Hammers!
Couldn't pass up on a used QB that was local. Seller wanted it gone asap so scored it for $750 - glad I didn't pay full retail for this. I really wish Kicker used Q class L7 subs instead but w/e. Any who, throwing a SD Salt-3 at it which is conservatively rated @ 3k @ 1ohm @ 12.8v.
