  • Clean sound, Great quality.
Style: 1200 Watts Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I bought this system over a year ago after doing extensive research. I didn't want to break the bank but I didn't want something cheap. I have heard other less expensive systems that sound absolutely horrible. They're loud, but harsh, and the sounds aren't clean. I had this professionally installed with the recommended amp and wires. The sound is consistent and clean. It's not a fuzzy and rugged sounding system. The highs are just as smooth as the lows, though as expected, the sound slightly dimishes with the highs but the overall interpreted quality is maintained. I also had a digital interface installed to maintain the highs. I don't blast my music super loud too often but it can shake the rearview mirror off of a car sitting next to me. I can genuinely appreciate the physical quality of the system as well, due to the fact it has a relatively solid and sturdy build. I've become so use to the quality and the accessibility of the bass that it's almost weird driving in vehicles that don't have it. If you buy the appropriate amp, wires and have it installed correctly, it is a rational investment in regards to car audio. ... show more

  • Surprisingly loud
Style: 1200 Watts Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I bought the P3 2X12 setup and hooked a R2 1200.1 pushing 1520 RMS, I’m still breaking them in by playing 30-45 worth of EDM and Rap, they should be past the break in period in a couple of weeks by then I can give a true review of how they sound but as far as hearing the bass notes from a bass guitar and from a hard pounding drum kit, it’s all there with zero distortion and because of it being in a vented ported box it gets loud, I hear users on here complain about the grate in front of the vent rattling, I hear nothing and if it bothers them that much take the stupid grate off, what’s the point in complaining if you can fix it ... show more

Style: 1200 Watts Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I'm using this with a RF Prime 1200D, and a Pioneer AVH-X2800BS, I'm not audiophile but I do like something that gets loud and sounds good in the process and these subs do a great job of that. Last few setups I've had in various vehicles were Sundown SD12's, Soundqubed HDS2-12's, and now these. Overall I like these out of those the best, the SQ HDS2 were alittle better on the lower end (mid to low 30s) but these are better on the higher end (mid-high 40's low 50s) so it really evens out as I listen to a little bit of everything and overall I'm happier with the Rockford P3s. I used to build my boxes but I just don't have the time or space to do that anymore and I was looking for a good prefab setup and after hearing this in a friend of mine's vehicle I was sold. Nice and loud with good SQ to them, although you need to remove the slotted covering over the port hole or you get bad port noise. You should also either put a different terminal cup on them or just run the wires through a new hole in the box and seal that as I've personally seen the terminal cup on this box melt at the connections. Plan on upgrading your door speakers as these will completely overwhelm them even on a newer factory amplified setup. ... show more

  • Love the p3d4-12's!
Style: 1200 Watts Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I love these subwoofers, the first subs I've ever owned were p2's. Once I got these p3d4-12's hooked them up with a RF 1200wrms amp I was extremely happy. Other than going with expensive elite subs or possibly the RF T series I think for the price these are my cap for a while. Overall very happy with them and the quality is very nice. I expect quality from RF products. Pounds pretty good, when tuned properly. I had these in a VW Jetta a few months back and they kept popping my trunk open lol now in an Altima. When up loud the trunk rattles a bit (need to dampen it eventually). On normal and lower volumes I can here deep thumping, from my back door. The distance is around 20 feet and you hear this nice bumping not distorted and not crazy loud or high pitched. I listen to a variety of music multiple genres. Star wars imperial March (dub remix) by lduk, never gonna give you up by Rick Astley, on my level by wiz or oxy cotton by lil wyte and X by hellyeah just a couple examples of what I play ... show more

Style: 1200 Watts Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Amazing! this was my first system ever wired the amp and everything myself. I have a 91 ford ranger just a extended cab and this fits in there snug and nice with enough leg room for me and I'm 6 1... I wish I had got a better stereo deck, I bought a kenwood but max volume hits 35 and it gets loud don't get me wrong if you set the loud boost up and the volume offset up, but it distorts at 32 33ish not bad still loud at that point but i wish I could go louder without the deck distorting my music, that's beside the point tho. These sub are powerful I have this paired with the 1200 d class Rockford prime amp, amazing considering those two factors cost me close to $700. I had the settings set for the break in with gain at about 4 and everything else on medium settings with the filters set to how i wanted it for maybe 10 hours of total playing time. Then after that turned it up to 5 almost 6 and raised the punch eq to straight up and down for another 5-6 hours of playing time. Now the gain is at 7, punch eq at 7 and the freq is set at 80 or so and the infrasonic set at 30 or so... These subs will tingle your nose, someone said rattle your teeth which I didn't believe but sure does and am absolutely in love with them i can push them harder if i wanted to easily but i tell you what where its a right now is enough til i either get a new deck or start to go def and doesn't sound as loud. With these setting expect your lights to dim and your voltage meter to dance with the music. ... show more
