  • After More Than 33 Years, I’d Buy It Again Without Hesitation
Size: 14 cup Color: Black
I’ve owned the Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor for more than 33 years, and it’s still performing as well today as when I first brought it home. That’s one of the highest compliments I can give any kitchen appliance. The first time I used it, I actually struggled getting the lid to lock — I pressed ‘on’ and nothing happened. I’m not usually a read-the-manual type 😂, but I finally checked the directions: you align the lid, push down, turn it left to lock, then turn it back right before pressing on. I did all that… and it still didn’t work. Turns out the real issue was that I hadn’t plugged it into the wall 😂. Once I plugged it into the wall, I’ve never had an issue since If you’re looking for one kitchen appliance that will truly earn its place on your countertop, this is it. As a chef, it’s not just another gadget, it’s an essential tool in my home kitchen. Like my KitchenAid mixer, it has become a permanent fixture because I reach for it almost every time I cook. Over the years, this food processor has dramatically reduced my prep time while delivering consistent, professional-quality results. I regularly use it to slice vegetables, shred cheese, chop onions, knead pizza and bread dough, make flaky pie crusts, prepare fresh pasta dough, purée soups and sauces, blend hummus, pesto, salsa, homemade mayonnaise, emulsify salad dressings, grind toasted nuts, make fresh breadcrumbs, and crush graham crackers or cookies for dessert crusts. It has handled thousands of batches over the years with dependable performance. One of my favorite chef tips is making vibrant basil oil. Many people end up with brown basil oil because heat and oxidation quickly dull its beautiful green color. Simply chill the bowl and blade before processing, then pulse fresh basil with olive oil. For an even brighter result, quickly blanch the basil first. Little techniques like this are where a quality food processor really shines. Another reason I love this machine is its versatility. I often finely chop mushrooms or zucchini and blend them into sauces, soups, meatballs, or meatloaf to add flavor and extra vegetables without changing the texture. If I run out of powdered sugar while baking, I simply process granulated sugar into a fine powder in seconds. During the holidays, it’s indispensable for grinding toasted nuts, preparing fillings, shredding vegetables, and handling larger batches with ease. The powerful 720-watt motor combined with the generous 14-cup capacity makes meal prep faster, easier, and more enjoyable. Whether I’m making flaky pie dough, silky hummus, creamy dressings, or fresh pesto, I know exactly what kind of results I’ll get every time. It consistently produces even textures while saving an incredible amount of time in the kitchen. As a chef, I rely on quality equipment because consistency matters. After more than 33 years of regular use, this is one of the rare home kitchen appliances that continues to deliver professional-level results every time I use it. After more than three decades with mine, I recently purchased this same model as a gift because I know firsthand how dependable it is. That’s probably the strongest recommendation I can give. If mine ever stopped working tomorrow after 33 years of faithful service, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Cuisinart. Five stars without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great Food Processor - Easy To Assemble and Use
Size: 14 cup Color: Stainless Steel
Reviews are so sketchy these days so it's no wonder trying to find a quality product is anxiety inducing. People do not take the time to look something over before trying to assemble it. The user manual and instruction booklet are in the description in PDF format and are printable. I might add they are also quite detailed. This was a common complaint in the reviews, "no instructions". It's been a number of years since there were user manuals included with a product. We had a Cuisinart food processor in 2019 but was enticed away by the bells and whistles of the Ninja all in one and gave it away in favor of the Ninja. Big mistake, less than 8 months later our food processor bowl fell apart, after they sent us 4 replacement bowls that didn't fit they replaced the entire system with the same one they said no longer existed, it was a 2 1/2 month nightmare. Five years later the replacement Ninja was no longer usable the blender jug and food processor bowl was cracked and leaked. We take care of our things and hand washed the bowl and all parts so the Ninja was not something we were about to re-purchase. We just got this food processor this morning, it is an upgrade from the one we bought in 2019. The bowl is large and will help us in our large batch cooking. Simple and straightforward, quiet and efficient. Contrary to the negative reviews about the bowl being difficult to seat and the lid being hard to put on and lock in place we found that it was an extreme exaggeration. If you look at the base of the machine and line the bowl up with the divots in the bowl you will not have an issue putting it on. The blade goes in after the bowl is seated, not in conjunction with it. The same with the lid, there is a specific way to line it up, and it will easily lock into place and unlock just as easily for that matter if you take the time to look it over. There is no need to wrestle with it. My wife made falafel in it this morning and it worked like a champ! Clean up was very easy as well. We cook 90% of our meals from scratch so we actually use our appliances daily. With our medium sized family of 5 we are always chopping, prepping and spend a great deal of time in the kitchen. I feel the quality and power is here and will keep up with our family's needs. I also feel that this machine will last for years if it is well maintained. Take the time to look at things before you try to assemble them and most definitely before leaving a bad review. When others are looking at making a large purchase like this, hasty reviews are not helpful. With inflation and horrible products on the market that are junk it's hard enough to make an informed decision without having to sort through negative things that are most often user error not the product itself. ... show more

  • Powerful and easy to use
Size: 14 cup Color: Stainless Steel
This machine was easy to figure out. I like the safety features. I am utterly amazed at how well this machine works. I sliced cucumbers for 28 pints of pickles today and it took less than five minutes. I've also used the chopping blades and that was also very effective. I like this machine so much that I'm putting away my stand mixer so I have room for it on my counter. It was recommended by America's Text Kitchen, so I had high hopes for it, and it delivers. ... show more

  • Excellent Food Processor Lacks One Critical Blade
Size: 14 cup Color: Stainless Steel
I purchased a new 14 cup Cuisinart food processor to replace a 10-year-old 11 cup Cuisinart. On the positive side the newer model is more powerful and just as sturdy as the old unit; it is simpler to use, easier to operate, and has fewer pieces to disassemble and clean. The one significant downside is the 10-year-old unit included four blades whereas the new unit came with 2. Particularly galling was the omission of a 2mm slicing blade, which is now a $50 accessory. • This will not disappoint
Size: 14 cup Color: Stainless Steel
This is my 3rd food processor over the last 40 years and by far my favorite one!! I waited several months before writing this review because I wanted to see how it would do with our fresh garden veggies. It is extremely quiet and powerful which makes chopping basil leaves, grating cabbage, mincing veggies, etc. a breeze. It is also super easy to take food with a rubber spatula because there isn't a "lip" where food gets trapped. Cleaning the processor is also quick and easy. I am no longer aggravated when using my food processor!!!! ... show more

  • Very nice processor but the instructions- mehhh
Size: 14 cup Color: Navy
This is a very sturdy, very powerful and very quiet food processor. I think it’s the third food processor I’ve owned. I am enjoying the larger bowl size for sure. So far I have used it to make pico de gallo and shredded cabbage for coleslaw and cut onions for hotdogs. It did a great job for all of it. I used the chopping blade for the pico de Gallo and the onions. And I used the shredding disk attachment for the cabbage for the slaw. At first, I couldn’t get it to turn on, ☺️ but, that’s because I had the feeder tube too full for the metal spine on the back of the pusher to completely engage the safety feature. The biggest drawback I see is the way the safety feature on the lid is designed. The safety mechanism is sort of open but at the same time closed if that makes any sense. It’s open enough for stuff to get in there and closed enough for you to have a hard time getting food particles out. You may want to just check and be sure that there’s no food particles On the metal safety spine on the food pusher that you’ll push down into the safety channel on the lid. Otherwise, you will play the game of rinsing and turning it upside down and swishing it/ flipping while holding the white thingy open until you can get the food particle to come out of it. There may be a trick to this I haven’t figured out yet. So far, I really like this processor, And, the prices for extra attachments on the Cuisinart website are very, very competitive with free shipping. ... show more
