The instructions are not as clear as they should be - but this is a simple product and one could complete the task without having any guide. The heat reflector works - and as advertised, but maybe not the efficiency as claimed. Nonetheless, it does reflect (re-direct) some amount of the heat. It does work on my front porch and makes the patio heater better serve the shivering people huddled with fire water in hand looking for heat. The cost of this device is twice what it seems it should be. This is not a precision machine - it is several plates of aluminum and some fasteners - that is it. Makes a huge difference in heat displacement. Directs heat where needed. You can literally hold your hand several inches away from the back of it and feel the difference of how cool it is behind it. Great improvement

I put this on one of my patio heaters where everyone is always on one side and it makes a big difference lessening heat loss. I intend to install one on one of my other heaters as well. Very satisfied!

I was a little skeptical that this was worth purchasing but you can notice a significant reduction of heat on the wall on the backside of the reflector. As mine is fairly close the house I wanted this as to not heat up the house - it worked. And it seemed to increase output toward the table as wanted.
