I have mixed feelings about this heater. I am not sure if it best for needing a lower temperature or if the very cold temperatures we have right now are an issue. It turns on and heats up quickly. Again this is in a 34 degree area. I can feel heat if I place my hand directly in front of the heater. If you move away from directly in front of the heater, I don’t feel any heat. You can’t adjust the fan speed. It almost feels like the fan overwhelms the heat. I left it running overnight in the pantry to see if it would heat the area over time. This is an unheated space that is about 300 square feet. It did take the temperature from 43.0 degrees to 66 degrees in about 9 hours. I had it at the highest temperature. So, it did increase the temperature. Just not as much as I wanted. It does work as it should. I just wanted a bigger temperature change. ... show more

Overall I'm not overly impressed with this heater. It works OK, but I'm not sure that it justifies it's current price. Yes, it gets warm, but it doesn't get hot... I suppose the warmth MIGHT be sufficient to keep your greenhouse slightly above freezing, but it's not going to keep it at a comfortable temperature (say 70 degrees). The fan is pretty strong and moves the warm air pretty well, but I turned it on and waited and waited for some heat out of this thing, and a warm breeze is about all I got out of it. I really like that it's thermostatically controlled, so in theory it should be perfect for a greenhouse (or even a garage) to maintain a constant, steady, temperature... however, I'm not sure that it'd ever get warm enough to shut down the thermostat. I tested it out in my garage today, and the thermostat seemed to be pretty accurate showing a temp of about 50 degrees... I left it on for about and hour, came back.... and still about 50 degrees, but with a noticeable smell (which I'm hoping is just the "new" burning off). This might work well for really small spaces, and it's great that it's forcing air past the heater coils, but I just can't see this doing much for a greenhouse or a 2+ car garage. One other interesting observation... this thing came encased in foam, inside a box, inside a box, inside a box... THREE boxes! It's well packaged, but maybe the most excessive packaging that I've ever encountered. I was disappointed with it's heat output, I wouldn't buy it again. ... show more

Green house heater is easy to move and set up. Puts heat out quickly and doesn’t burn up your needed oxygen. The fan heater case is made of stainless steel so it shouldn’t rust out in a moist environment. The thermostat is working like it should. I am satisfied with the heater.

So, how much power does it really have? I'm guessing not enough power to keep your 1,000 square foot greenhouse at 70f when it's 30f outside. If you have a very small greenhouse? Say, 10x20? Larger ones, no way. It might also be useful for working in the garage in winter. Not to heat the whole garage, I don't think it would do that...but to blow a stream of warm air on you to keep you from freezing to death? It'll do that with no problem. 4 stars. ... show more

This little greenhouse heater has many good features, but lacks the heat output I was hoping for. As a fan, it's fantastic. However, the heat just isn't strong enough to do much good. The unit is very well built, durable, and sturdy. The handle is excellent for moving it around easily.
