It was easy to follow the directions. Assembly was time consuming. Took me at least 4 hours by myself but I went very slow. The directions were clear and the screws all aligned without issue. I think it’s a great value! A few pieces were chipped but nothing visible on the final construction. The fire does look very fake but it’s still pretty. I like that it’s kind of tall and I don’t have to look down to watch tv. ... show more

We went with the grey unit. The directions were easy to read,which made it easy to assemble. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to assemble. The doors have tempered glass. It's not real wood but, engineered wood or an MDF type material with a laminate wood grain overlay. Still, it feels pretty sturdy and secure once assembled. Shipment was fast,although ours was delayed do to the holiday weekend. One thing to note is that they ship the product in two different shipments. We received the fireplace first. The way they ship it, it was labeled "package delivered" on Amazon orders but it was only the fireplace. The seller didn't produce a second shipping detail through Amazon for the second delivery, therfore Amazon was unaware of the second delivery and had no tracking info to provide. We had to contact the seller to get the shipping details and tracking info. The first shipment was sent UPS. The second shipment was sent FedEx and arrived about a week later. For some reason they sent them separately with different shipping companies. So be aware that you may encounter the same dilemma. With that said, we are very pleased with the product and it fits perfectly. I've attached a few photos with the three different "fire" images. The fire could look a little more realistic but it's still a nice ambiance. It produces decent heat from what I can feel. We haven't used it to heat our area yet because it's June lol but, it feels like it will do the job for what it is. I really love the look and design of this fireplace TV stand. I was able to build it myself in about 3 hours (perhaps a little less, it’s hard to tell as I did take some breaks). The instructions were clear and concise and it’s very well made. My only complaint is the fake brick inside the fireplace could be a bit better. It’s very obviously fake and I really do think they could have done a little more to make it less obvious. Other than that, I think it’s a great purchase and I’m very happy. ... show more

Unit is fairly simple to put together, read the directions carefully you will have extra parts, but read the description very closely. You will receive two boxes. We receive one from FedEx and another from UPS. We did not know this until we open the box. The box does have a number 1/2 on it, but FedEx only delivered box one of two. So be aware of that. Also, the directions are away at the bottom of the box very minimal damage to anything you can see. Took me about two hours to put together. Seems to be real glass for the doors fireplace is very nice. Warms up the room quickly lots of storage and very nice color. ... show more

I just finished putting this together and I'm so happy with the result. The mantle comes in two boxes and I picked it up from a package room and it was very heavy. I was unable to lift it myself so I had to get help to move it. Once I took it out of the box the instructions were very clear and easy to assemble because all the holes are predrilled and parts well labeled. That being said, it did take 3-4 hours to actually finish the assembly just because there's so many parts that need assembly and each part is held together by multiple fasteners. Again, this is a double edge sword because it is a sturdy piece of furniture. For reference, the TV in the picture is a 55". In my opinion I think you should buy this piece, but have a few movies or audiobooks to keep you company while you settle in for an evening of assembly. ... show more
