This definitely helps us be mindful of getting veggie scraps, eggshells and coffee grounds sorted immediately, without the smelly, unsightly look of a typical compost pail . We still use plastic bags to collect it all in though, but it's just more functional. At some point the materials at the stop will get dirty, moldy, etc so we'll likely have to buy replacements for that, but this has served us best as the first step in collecting and disposing of organic waste. Make sure you have a dedicated drop off site, as this is not for long term/full composting. Use it diligently and you'll find your trash bags are at least 50% less full by trash day, the impact is real.

This product is awesome. We love being able to compost and have a bin that look nice aesthetically. It came with two filters and is easily removable and replaceable. Make sure you wash them at least once a month and change them out. There is no smell, unless you go longer than a month or have extra stinky foods (fish, eggs, etc). Other than that it wonderful, easy to clean, and has held up well.

I bought this in November 2020 as a little compost bin on our kitchen counter. It looks good, works well, nice size and the handle is great for taking a walk to the compost piles to add our scraps. Then last week, after returning from a trip to the compost pile, this bin just split all the way down the side. We didn’t drop it, aren’t rough with it, we live in a kid free house and take care if our home and things. Even though we have had this for 18 months, 6 of those we were traveling so never even used. It hasn’t been exposed to extreme temps, we have not put in dishwasher. So we are stumped by how this happened after placing it on the kitchen counter! Expect it’s out of warranty now. And I would buy another one, but it’s quite a bit more expensive now and I’m second guessing spending $46 to replace it. I love the bamboo and it suits our eco style home well. But to break like that - with no misuse - just seemed so bizarre. Maybe this was random and we got unlucky… I should probably check other reviews to see if this is an isolated incident. But I do hope the seller reads these reviews so they are aware. I will also reach out direct. But like I said. Would be surprised if it was still covered under some kind of warranty after 1.5 years.

Loved the first design, purchased in 2021. It cracked this summer 2025 so I quickly purchased another. Within a week the handle came off, fixed it but here we are just 2 months in and both sides are coming apart. The design of how the handle is attached will over time loosen the screws. Have fun digging them out of the food scraps.

Loving this item! Cute on countertop and the filter is top notch! One time it took a about a week to fill and did not smell a thing. When I took the lid off to empty in my compost, it was pungent! I couldn't believe that little filter worked so well. Highly recommend!

Nice, Functional, and Elegant but One Arrived Damaged I ordered three composters in total. 2 dark and one in cream. The items are nice, functional, and elegant, and I was happy with the design and quality of the two that arrived intact. Unfortunately, one composter arrived with a crack along the seam where the material is joined, making it unusable. It’s disappointing to receive a damaged product like this, especially since it affects the overall experience. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the composters.

I really wanted to love this compost bin because it looks great on the counter — sleek, modern, and fits in nicely with my kitchen decor. Unfortunately, the design has a few frustrating flaws. The handle screws keep coming loose, and I’ve already lost one screw entirely, which makes carrying it a bit annoying. I wish they had used a more secure or reinforced attachment method. Another downside is the lid. It comes completely off with no hinge or latch, which sounds minor, but in practice it’s a bit of a pain — especially when your hands are full or messy. A hinged lid would’ve made a huge difference in usability. Overall, it looks great but falls short on functionality. If they fixed the handle and redesigned the lid, this could be a five-star product.
