Description

Great set that works well - especially for the price! I had purchased these because I had a foot step opening trash can that would slowly creep backwards into my cabinets and walls leaving them marked and dented. When visiting a friend, I saw that the touchless opening lid kept the can from moving because nothing touches the can to push it backwards. What a revelation! I’ve had this set for about 6 months and the experiment worked! We no longer have marks and dents behind the trash can! Wow, what a product and what a company. I purchased this set about 6 mos ago. It arrived quickly and they were in perfect condition and so easy to set up. They worked great. I even use rechargeable batteries and rarely have to change. They are the perfect sizes. They are very sensitive so it’s not for a high foot traffic location or they will open and close with every passerby. The best part of this purchase I only just discovered recently. What a hidden gem their customer service department. I live in Hawaii where shipping is outrageously expensive. The lid to my large trash can had suffered some damage and had to be replaced . I knew this would be pricey, and previously I had accidentally thrown away the ring that secures a trash bag in place of the smaller trash can. So two items I needed now. I reached out to their customer support and I was given a website to browse for the ring. I did that first and found the part but shipping again was three times the item price. I reached out to customer service again as they were researching my warranty possibilities on the lid issue and what I got for a final resolution catapults their service to the top... my new friend Claudia told me “not to worry about the shipping...” (I was probably entering the wrong part number anyway) she told me that “the damage to my lid was not covered under normal wear and tear so the warranty wouldn’t apply but.... we are going to send you the new lid anyway as an exception and... we are gonna throw in the ring part for the smaller trash can as well.” I was basically speechless I couldn’t believe it. Cover shipping sure.... but the parts , one of which I knew I accidentally threw away???? Wow buy them even if you don’t need them right now, we all need a Claudia! Thank you ! ... show more

The smaller of the cans is basically only big enough to hold just a couple soda or body armor/Gatorade type bottles. The garbage can is standard size, the bottom of it broke after about six months, but it didn’t really affect the operation. Lid finally stopped responding despite battery changes at about 2 years (bought December 2023, writing this November 2025). The small can would work OK in a bathroom, but I was trying to use it for recycling in the kitchen and wouldn’t use it for that again. Lids do a pretty great job of keeping smells out of the kitchen (including seafood and cat litter) , battery life was good. The manual open and close buttons on the garbage lid did smoosh down about one year into use, but they would still respond over half of the time if pressed ... show more

The trash bins were packaged into one box with the smaller trash bin tucked inside the larger trash bin. The bins I received weren't dented however there are small black smudges on the bin, but this is not a huge issue to as I am glad with my purchase.The answers for the batteries can be misleading because both bins use the same type of batteries; large bin uses three C batteries while the smaller bin uses two C batteries. I've had the trash bins for a month now and the automatic lid sensor still works very well. The bins also does a good job in sealing odors. ... show more

I have sent message after message to customer service as the sensor on my trash can no longer works after 4 months and I have yet to get a response. I do not recommend buying this product

    • Shop around for better options
Writing this review for my friend. At first both garbage cans were awesome. But they did not last that way for long. The one for the kitchen quit working after 5 months. Customer service said there was nothing that they could do to help. So for the money that was spent to purchase it, it's definitely not worth it. ... show more
