This entrance awning with gutter is really practical! It is easy to install, made of sturdy material, and provides excellent sun protection. The gutter is a thoughtful design that allows rainwater to drain away without pooling or dripping onto the entrance, keeping the floor dry. I’ve had 3 other variations/brands of this style up in the same spot. First, it doesn’t measure 80” - it is 78.5” wide. Doesn’t extend to 40” either. First let me say that I’m real good at construction, installing and being innovative to make just about anything work despite poor quality. You’ll need a lot of luck getting the 4 panels in. It’s weakly held together with tiny screws and cheap plastic inserts that can strip and get pushed out of range. While putting it up, the thing folded on me twice. Instructions were not detailed. But for this price you can’t expect much. My previous one- of a different brand - lasted about 3 years. If you aren’t the “handy type” I wouldn’t recommend tackling installation of this item. Its a two person job for sure.
