Was hesitant to buy due to some mixed reviews, but is everything I anticipated it to be. Left the gray tape on an mounted it with provided screws and brackets. Plenty sturdy enough for wind and rain. After installing it, I put a bead of painters caulk on the top seem to keep water from running down behind the awning. Did not caulk the bottom so any way there can drip out. Been installed for a few weeks and so far I like it and would recommend this for anyone wanting a simple awning without a large presence on the building. Will need to have the rains come to learn how much protection it can offer.

Strong point: easy to install, and the dimensions allow it to be installed almost anywhere. However, the dimensions shown are not exact for the width, which is 13 inches. Weak point not very pretty, it was for a storage shed.

This product is very easy to install. Fortunately in my case I was able to pick up the existing fastener the center of the frame. However on the other two I had to drill new holes to install. This type of awning is perfect for small Windows like your kitchen window over your sink. I highly recommend the use of a cordless drill with adjustable torque for the installation of the fasteners.

When I positioned this against my siding it actually slanted towards the house instead of away. Perhaps it was my siding; ended up returning it.
