First off, this company has the BEST packaging we have ever seen on a tech product, and we buy a lot of them for our broadcast studio. Seriously it was better packed with higher quality than an iPhone 15. Once we got into it, we were inundated with warranty cards and scan to registers and documentation that had focus on top level customer service and after care. Finally, the unit itself is top level. We were still a bit leary as this was marked (renewed), but following their setup directions to the letter, the drive was recognized partitioned for Windows 10 and fully functional. The systems had no issue recognizing it and it's full capacity and it serves our network with no issues. We've done transfers of over 3TB in file group sizes and it functions exactly as specified. If anything does go south, we're pretty sure that company stands behind this product. VERY satisfied and will be buying more from them. ... show more

    • Mean Time between Failures (how drive lifespans are rated) 0 seconds on two different drives
I opted to take a replacement drive instead of a refund when I received the first dead drive. Drive #2 arrived today. I plugged it in to the computer, and powered it on. It makes a strange kind of spinning-up sound for a second, then pauses a second and repeats. After about 10 tries, it powers itself off. I have to rate these as ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. From the first drive: When I opened the package, I had high hopes. That's where anything good about this drive stopped. I'm running Windows 11. I plugged it into a USB 3.2 jack on my computer. The computer slowed to a crawl. I opened File Manager, and it kept saying I needed to format the drive. I started the format, but it can't format the disk. I went to Disk Management console, deleted the 4 partitions it came with. Created a new Basic partition, and tried to format it. It failed again. Simply put, it's a Big PAPERWEIGHT. When I turn it on its side, something rattles around inside. (That's when it's unplugged from everything. Basically this isn't refurbished, it's GARBAGE! ... show more

I just bought this and for some reason it's pretty loud and sounds like an coffee maker and when transferring files it sounds like an old printer. I'm not sure if it's supposed to make this sound or if there's an issue? It's made this sound since I received it so I'm not sure if this is normal? I'm hoping someone can get back to me and I'll edit this review... Update, Device keeps disconnecting from my PC, sometimes it will disappear from my drive list entirely or not let me open drive saying something about IO, some times it shuts off and comes back on when it wants. ... show more

Wonderful. Like in the old times fantastic vendor. Did not work well straight out of the box. After further testing it was determined it was a bad batch . However the vendor refunded with no problems. AAA VENDOR. 10 points!
