It’s really a shame that i read some of these reviews saying you cannot start the charger without the app or RFID cards….within a minute in the Smart-life app i found exactly how to bypass it. See picture in my review. All you need to do is create ‘A scene’ A if then scene. One that says. If charger is plugged in. Chargers switches on. Simple. Never need the cards again. And you can enable and disable this by checking and unchecking the box next to the scene after its created so you do not have to delete and recreate it each time you wish to disable the feature. There are many other things you can do with the app. I implore you to actually play around with it. I have two different chargers that use this app. This one has way more features than the other. All that put aside. This charger has a very sleek and slime design. The charging nozzle is very sleek and durable. And the fact that its black and not white is great so it will hide dirt. Takes up very little space on the wall and the cord is extremely flexible u like my other 48 amp charger that had a very stiff and heavy cord. Buy the charger. Dont second guess it

I was worried about how complicated it could be installing it. Now I am surprised about how simple it was. The only thing I had to do after installing it was to set the amps to 40 because by default is set to 48. So far I am happy .

Product seems great so far and has a great charge current and look to the unit. I hate the RFID and the fact the App doesn’t give the option to turn that off. Can I order more cards when inevitably they disappear or stop working? Or can we get a card with a hole punched in to it so you can hang it on a key chain, etc?

I was a little hesitant in purchasing this item for my wife's Audi Q5 because at the time all the reviews were by users who received it for free but I gave it a try.... I am glad that we did because it was an excellent buy, I wasn't sure about having to use the card to activate it but I can just plug it in and set it through the app to charge during non peak hours. The app tacks your charging times it's a great option and setup was easy as well. Works best with a 240v 50amp outlet.

We could not be happier. This is a nice charger that has everything we wanted in a charger. First off it was in our price range. It is a 48amp charger, and it has a long charger cable than our old charger. The RFID card is a bonus for us but will be nice if we ever need to limit access to our charger. We have this charger. mounted in a charger case and mounted to the outside of our garage for outdoor charging. This charges charges with no issues; the app was easy to load and is well laid out. This was a good upgrade over our less expensive, less feature packed charger. We are happy and we would buy it again. 5 STARS

Switching to an electric vehicle comes with many changes, one of them being the transition to home charging. In my quest to find an efficient and cost-effective solution, I've tried out several Level 1 and 2 EV chargers and this is the winner out of all the ones Ive tried so far. One of the standout features of this EV Charger is its 48A capacity. With this level of output, it significantly outperforms standard Level 1 chargers, providing faster charging times and ensuring my EV is ready to go when I am. Installation was straightforward although I did need to get an electrician out to wire up a higher amp outlet to take full advantage of the 48A charging ability.
