I bought this because I occasionally suffer from periods of acid reflux and my old wedge pillow was too small and hard and uncomfortable. The photos shows my new one on the left, and my smaller old one on the right so you can see the difference. My old one was too short so it was not under my lower back at all so there was no support. I was constantly pulling it down lower but then my head would hang off the top. This new pillow is long enough that it is under my hips. I am 5'4" and its perfect. The memory foam is soft and comfortable and supportive. Not hard as a rock. And the wavy contour is perfect for shoulders and neck. The cover is soft and comfy and the underside feels like suede so it does not slip around on your sheet. I love this wedge so much. Highly recommend. I can even sleep on my side. I added a tiny infant pillow to it a few days later from amazon and it made it even more comfy if thats even possible! ... show more

I have intracranial hypertension, sinus problems, and Gerd. The sculpting of the foam is excellent for side sleeping, and it is easy to use. This wedge is the comfiest I’ve ever slept on, but I wish it were longer and the incline more gentle. It provides great support, but it is too tall of a slope to sleep on comfortably; I am constantly dragging myself further upwards all night, which is irritating and wakes me up. I am not a tall person, but I do have a long torso and my hips are off of the wedge all night long, causing soreness. It is also uncomfortable having to bend at the waist all night. I find this wedge to be great value for money, but don’t know if it is the right wedge for me. More pros: the foam has no smell upon opening the package and the cover is easily washable and replaced on the wedge. It’s an almost perfect wedge so it gets four stars. ... show more

I bought this product to deal with my reflux. This product was the closest I could find to the wedge my doctor recommended which is no longer available. It is annoying to have to sleep with one of these things since I like to sleep on a tiny, almost flat pillow. I have no real symptoms, I learned of the reflux when I had an endoscopy, so I am not very motivated and can't really tell if I am getting "better". But I don't want to take chances with my health. I also chose this product because I like to sleep on my sides in addition to my back and I liked the longer length of it - my head is elevated without sleeping on something that is more appropriate for reading or watching TV in bed, where you are almost upright. It is very comfortable. I'm only minimally aware that I'm sleeping on a wedge. I am comfortable on my sides and on my back. I am about 5' tall and I cannot tell where the wedge ends and the bed begins. I use a pillow on the wedge and sometimes I use a pillow between my legs and also behind my back - I am still experimenting with the pillows. I don't have any problems rolling off the sides of the wedge - but I am small and don't move much in my sleep. It seems cool enough, but I get cold during the night so this is not really an issue for me. I do think that I slide down during the night, in fact, I don't really even start off very high up the wedge - another thing I am kind of experimenting with - but as i said, I am very short so I still get some elevation. I am as pleased with this product as I can be, and considering the fact that I don't really want to use a wedge in the first place, I am happy with my purchase. It does what it is supposed to do and does it well. I also am not happy about having this big thing in the middle of my bed - it is hard to arrange my bed and decorative pillows to look attractive and this is important to me - First World Country Problem - LOL! ... show more

The quality of the product is very nice, but unfortunately, this was not a good fit for me. I am 5'4" but very short-waisted (small torso). The wedge extended well below my hip, to the tops of my legs. On my side, it was a very uncomfortable angle that forced my hip into my rib cage. The wedge itself was comfortable for my arm, while lying on my side, but the angle was just not right for me. This is exactly what I needed to create the zero gravity feel. I use it in conjunction with the Avana Leg Wedge Memory Foam Pillow. It is just like sleeping in a zero gravity recliner. I have suffered with horrible lower back pain for years. I went to a chiropractor for a year with no relief and replace the mattress with no luck. Then I had shoulder surgery and I was required to sleep in the recliner. Amazingly enough, the day after surgery all of my back pain disappeared. I though it was because of the shoulder surgery and I was convinced until I started sleeping in bed again. Instantly the lower back pain came back. So I bought the Lunix 4piece Orthopedic Bed Wedge Pillow set. It is well made and would be great if I was sleeping on a low platform bed or the floor but I couldn't get into bed because the pillows were too thick and it made the bed too tall to climb into. So I sent them back and ordered just the leg wedge and that helped but it was about 2" too thick. Once I bought the Avana Contoured Bed Wedge Support Pillow for Side Sleepers to go with the leg wedge, it was a miracle. I felt that zero gravity effect I got from sleeping in the recliner.     • Just what was needed for acid reflux relief

Bought as a Christmas gift for my husband to replace the old one I’d gotten him a number of years ago. He loved the old one, also Avana, but it was looking icky, so I wanted it replaced. This one is quite a bit longer and has the contours so I was nervous about his reaction. It took a day or two for him to adjust but he is enjoying his new pillow. Looks to be of a similar good quality and firmness, and I expect it to last a while like the previous one did.
