Before breast cancer surgery, I learned many patients would benefit from having the items in this bundle as part of their recovery, so I got mine ahead of time in preparation for the ride home. The super padded cross seat belt pillow took all pressure off my incisions, and is now installed in the driver’s seat of my vehicle. The big, soft, supportive and squishy mastectomy pillow has a torso encircling strap, as well as shoulder straps that keep my incisions well protected. It’s like wearing a portable hug! I live in this pillow, because it is not only comfortable but also handy. I’ve used the pockets for my driver’s license, car keys, health care card, parking place ticket, phone, handkerchief - you name it! And the inside pockets nicely hold the gel cold pack. Either set nicely holds the surgical drains lower than my incisions, and lets me tuck the drain lines in if I’m moving around and don’t want to risk catching them on something. The shower lanyard for he surgical drains has been really useful out of the shower, too. Some of my recovery clothing lacks pockets, so the lanyard works to support my drains, often overnight with no problems. I discovered a surprise feature of the big pillow - chest protection from overly enthusiastic pets! If my Australian Shepherd wants to give me one of his super happy “nose missiles,” he would typically launch upwards and firmly plant his front paws on my chest - not a good thing for a double mastectomy patient! But when I’m wearing the pillow, there’s enough padding to protect me from accidental impacts from a flying 55lb happy dog! This bundle has truly helped my post op recovery from my double mastectomy. Anyone facing this surgery would benefit from each piece of equipment. Highly reccommended!

I disagree with anyone what states that this pillow is overrated. It is essential during recovery from a mastectomy! The firmness, straps, pockets, etc., are far superior than any regular pillow. Mine arrived in ready-to-use condition, perfectly firm yet comfortable. The way it surrounds and hugs the body makes the healing process much more comfortable. This is what I will purchase anyone I know going through a mastectomy.

This pillow came in handy after my double mastectomy! The pockets on both sides of the pillow allowed me to place ice packs on one side and my phone in another pocket. The straps were elastic, adjustable and comfortable, the material was soft and didn’t bother my sutures. It is machine washable and is a well made product. I would definitely recommend this pillow to anyone who is having a mastectomy, top surgery, or reconstructive surgery.

I read about this wearable pillow on another website and was unsure if I would need. It’s the best thing, I’ve worn it non stop since my lumpectomy surgery. It’s washable and soft. I love that I can put ice in the different pockets or just wear it for comfort. The seatbelt cushion was awesome when traveling in the car after surgery. Add to cart immediately!

I got this pillow since I was about to go through top surgery/bilateral mastectomy. Now actually in healing from surgery and getting some use out of it... it's fine. It does its job. It's actually a really good quality pillow, it's soft and the pockets are pretty useful. Unfortunately I have some qualms; most notably the shoulder straps. I often have to keep adjusting them and even then they keep falling off my shoulders. This is the biggest pain in the ass due to the fact I can't be moving my arms around like I did pre-op, so it might be a bit difficult to use depending on what limitations you have and if you have anyone to help you or not. Easy to take off at least, since the straps are those plastic fastening buckles and you can unbuckle them pretty easily. I also think its a little bulky, but like, that's definitely partially the point. Maybe I'm biased because I have gauze and ace wrap around my chest and that adds to percieved bulkiness, but still.

I wore this 24/7 after my surgery. Very comfortable and gave me peace of mind. The cushion is thicker than another one I got, and the extra cushion means a lot! It is comfortable to sleep in and I used it in the car to protect me from the seatbelt. Design is great. The shoulder strap and back strap are adjustable. Worth its weight in gold! I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this item prior to surgery so you have it to come home from the hospital in. I also like the pockets. They can hold ice packs or your wallet and cell phone. Also come with a drain holder, ice packs, and seatbelt cover.

I had a single mastectomy last month. This pillow has been my constant companion since. I pretty much wore the pillow 24/7 for the first two weeks after surgery, although I did need help with the adjustable clip those first two weeks. I still wear the pillow frequently just because it feels good. It helped with sleep, it helped with underarm pain, it was nice and snug; it felt like someone hugging me, which is what I desperately needed after surgery. It's an absolute must in the car for post-op visits (along with the seat belt pillow) and just having some relief at home. I liked the drain belt as well, as it was another thing I didn't have to buy. I didn't use the ice pack thing, as I was advised not to use ice or heat in recovery. I liked this pillow set so much I bought one for a friend that is about to undergo the same fate.

I'm very grateful my sister found this mastectomy pillow for me. It helped with pain and kept my small dogs from jumping on me. I felt both comforted and protected when I wore it right after surgery and for many months longer. I especially needed it in the car when every bump of the road hurt. I highly recommend this. The straps make it convenient to hold against you. It's soft texture and much better than a plain pillow could be. Plus, I could put stuff in the pockets in the front.
