Before breast cancer surgery, I learned many patients would benefit from having the items in this bundle as part of their recovery, so I got mine ahead of time in preparation for the ride home. The super padded cross seat belt pillow took all pressure off my incisions, and is now installed in the driver’s seat of my vehicle. The big, soft, supportive and squishy mastectomy pillow has a torso encircling strap, as well as shoulder straps that keep my incisions well protected. It’s like wearing a portable hug! I live in this pillow, because it is not only comfortable but also handy. I’ve used the pockets for my driver’s license, car keys, health care card, parking place ticket, phone, handkerchief - you name it! And the inside pockets nicely hold the gel cold pack. Either set nicely holds the surgical drains lower than my incisions, and lets me tuck the drain lines in if I’m moving around and don’t want to risk catching them on something. The shower lanyard for he surgical drains has been really useful out of the shower, too. Some of my recovery clothing lacks pockets, so the lanyard works to support my drains, often overnight with no problems. I discovered a surprise feature of the big pillow - chest protection from overly enthusiastic pets! If my Australian Shepherd wants to give me one of his super happy “nose missiles,” he would typically launch upwards and firmly plant his front paws on my chest - not a good thing for a double mastectomy patient! But when I’m wearing the pillow, there’s enough padding to protect me from accidental impacts from a flying 55lb happy dog! This bundle has truly helped my post op recovery from my double mastectomy. Anyone facing this surgery would benefit from each piece of equipment. Highly reccommended!

I love this set! I got it in preparation for a lumpectomy with seminal node removal. I chose the purple with dots - very pretty color, and the fabric is so soft! The shoulder straps are comfortable, as is the back strap. I find it easiest to keep the back strap buckled and just loosen/tighten it as needed. The pillow is not heavy, yet still feels sturdy and gives good support. It also keeps your arms from your sides in a comfortable way. I sleep in the pillow, as well as wear it around the house. I find it helps me feel safe & secure; it also helps remind others to be gentle. The seatbelt cover is just as soft as the pillow, attaches easily, and I felt protected. (You can also wear the pillow in the car, depending on your preference. If I had had a mastectomy, I might have chosen the pillow.) The ice pack that came with it is a good size and stays cold for a long time. I did not use the inside side pockets for ice packs. I did not need the drain strap. I would highly recommend this!

I had a breast explant and traveled for it. I used this pillow constantly! Every time I have been in the car riding, even now that I am driving, I’m still using it! I used it while in the plane, and in the wheelchair…. I love the pockets for the phone and whatever else is needed. I also use it while I sleep since it helps me not roll over. The quality is really good and the fabric is super soft. I highly suggest it!

I bought this for my mastectomy and used it coming home from surgery right up to every follow up appointment. I actually slept in this thing for the first week! It helped to keep me on my back and also supported under my arm. It was fantastic for support even while walking and cushioned every bump in the road and every seat belt rub while in the car. I used the actual pillow and not the seat belt pillow (I haven't used it yet) I find the larger pillow to be better and more comfortable. The ice pack in the pocket was wonderful! If you're on the fence if you will need this- you will and you'll appreciate that you had it the minute after you get out of surgery. It is the best purchase I made during this whole process!

This really is a soft but firm after bi-lateral mastectomy pillow, I cant’t feel the seat belt at all, even rough bumps in road are no problem, I love the comfort & support of this item, just one complaint the straps over my shoulders slip down on my arms, I will say maybe just me as I have narrow shoulders , we have a 1hour drive to hospital & my Dr.s, Oklahoma roads are terrible, but with this I enjoy a comfortable ride….

I used this after surgery. It was great for protecting myself around the house and when I had to travel for appointments. I will say my shoulders didn't seem wide enough for this and I often had issues getting the straps to stay on me but the backstrap helped to keep it in place. The pockets were great since I didn't want to be carrying a bag and since I was wearing sweatpants I didn't have pants pockets. I liked the lanyard for when I able to start showering and am still using the seatbelt guard to make driving more comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
