Place the old litter box alongside. Use manual mode as a regular litter box. Use your cat’s familiar litter for security. Enable auto‑clean once the cat is fully adapted. What kind of cat litter should I use for this automatic cat litter box? We recommend fine‑particle, fast‑clumping litter such as bentonite, tofu and mineral litter. For tofu litter, keep length ≤10mm and diameter ≤1.5mm. Press the clean button after refilling to reset and level the sand. Is there a way I can self-test whether my cat is suitable for this automatic litter box? Check your cat’s body size instead. Measure shoulder width, body length (nose to rump, no tail) and chest girth. Quick cardboard test: Build a 17.5in × ~19.7in inner space. If your cat can enter and turn freely, it fits.
