Vendor was great received product by second day. Would do business with again. As for the dongle it’s advertised as a Full System scanner in an app based dongle, but it falls short on reading all systems on the CAN Bus equipped Honda’s I tried to scan. Dongle is far to expensive to only allow you to scan on vehicle make Free, when compared to other dongle/app based products with proprietary sw like the Think Tool, Topdon Topscan, and XTool makes one also Cons: -Basic Code Reader -Fails to even read all systems -Initial Firmware DL and subsequent system scanning takes longer than any competitors 20-30 min for full system scan -Live data doesn’t even contain manufacturer specific data PIDS -TPMS sensors show pressures that are not possibles. PSI values in the 9,000’s on 2 different vehicles Pros -Readiness monitors do work -Systems that were found in a scan did show DTC’s correctly when compared to a professional scan tool -

Purchased in july 2025 it suited my needs at first cleared codes , read codes app was slow for scanning but fine . Now January 2026 it can only read codes not clear them it says it resets but it does not. For reference is a 2023 nissan. Waste of money

This unit was bought to be a handy portable scanner that I could keep in the vehicle while traveling. I like that you link it to your phone and it stays up to date that way. Simple to download the app, easy to Bluetooth to the device and works well. This is a great option for the home owner who works on his own vehicle or the hobby mechanic who isn’t ready to spend the money for the more expensive scanners.

Its basically a AP/HT 200 that works properly and not slow laggy and buggy like the 200 was, really it doesn’t have any extra features, still lacks alot of bi directional controls, it doesn’t do emission testing like it alluded to, which to me would active tests controlled by the scan tool, it just shows you which monitors passed. If you were Joe consumer and wanted to buy their first scan tool, this would be good.

As a mechanic I know Autel is the go-to top name in automotive diagnostics. I've used many of their products and they are reliable and thorough. I've seen some not so great reviews on this product but I think those people did not read about exactly what it was and the capabilities of this scan dongle. I got this for my wife's car that can just be left in the car. As she travels she can use a standalone app to bring up data or any check engine codes and send them to me and I can tell her if it's something important or can wait till she gets back home. It works seamlessly with my alltel high-end pro grade scan tools and is very capable and easy to use if she needed to use it on the side of the road. Glad to see y'all tell finally come out with something at the basic do it yourself level.

Review of Autel MaxiAP AP2500E Scan Tool ⭐☆☆☆☆ I purchased this tool because it was advertised to work with Maserati vehicles, which sounded promising. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing: Setup Issues: The app couldn't scan the QR code, and the serial number was incorrect. This indicates poor quality control in the manufacturing process. Privacy Concerns: It requested unnecessary personal contact information, which I declined to provide. A scan tool should not need this to function. Connection Problems: Despite pairing it with my car and phone, it failed to connect and perform its intended purpose. Ultimately, this tool was completely useless for me. Additionally, the request for personal information raised concerns about potential data collection. I urge caution to others considering this product.

I did not test all functions. I got this for TPMS, and while it did show my tire pressures on its display, I could not find a way to use it to reset or learn new TPMS pressures, so my fault goes away for switching between summer and winter tires. It did show an interesting page showing EV battery state. I wish the website would show a warning. It requires you to download a file to work on your car, but it appears that only the first one is free. I would like to know the cost of using it on my other vehicles. Not as much use if I can only use it on one vehicle, especially if it does not do what I hoped it would.
