  • Best Camera I ever Had
Absolutely stellar camera in all respects!

  • Best compact monochrome camera
No point to discuss price, or that is a fixed lens camera with a monochrome sensor - if you can't see past that, this camera is not for you, so move on. The interface is really good, and goes very well along the camera's concept. Image quality it's obviously outstanding, but won't make you a better photographer or grant you award winning pictures . It's tool, very well made, simplistic and efficient. In sum, an unique camera, and surely will not be a fit for everyone - ultra rewarding if it is. ... show more

  • Elegant fully functional
It needs no introduction or hype from me. It is a top quality, beautifully designed piece of craftsmanship.

  • Think single lens M camera with auto focus, and half the price.
This is the best camera I have ever owned. The image quality is amazing. Worth every penny!!!

  • Best point and shoot camera in the wold.
I love using the camera. It's crazy expensive, but hey, life is short.

  • Know what you are buying
I just received the Q2 mono. I bought this after posing a question to Amazon whether this camera was a gray market item, I was told it was not. I did not find a warranty card in the box so I called Leica USA in New Jersey. I gave the agent the serial number on the camera and was told the camera was out of the warranty period. So if it needs repair Leica-USA would repair it but that I would have to pay for any repairs. I'm NOT saying this is a bad thing given the price that is being charged. All I am saying is that we should know what we are buying. ... show more

  • Yes, it's worth the price.
This is my first Leica and it's been the most fun camera I've ever used. The sensor's low light performance is insane, the lens is the nicest I've ever used both by optics and tactile feel, and because this is technically a fixed lens camera you can bring it into many sporting, music, and other events to document your life. Also, the camera is dust and water resistant so you can, again, bring it with you in more situations. I cannot recommend this camera enough; of course it is not the right tool for every type of photography, but if you enjoy B&W photojournalism and documenting your own life I don't think there's a better camera available than the Q2M. ... show more

  • Leica + digital = perfect
I never liked Leica’s integration of digital in M cameras. Until the Q came along. The Q2 is perfect. You can set it to Auto shutter a/o Auto aperture. Or select either or both manually. Same with focus. No pages and pages of menu options, or complex settings. A beautiful 28 1.7 is fixed, but with a 47mp sensor, you can crop in camera and get great results at 35mm,, 50mm or even 75mm. Solidly built like Leicas should be. The Q2 Monochrom completes the picture with the removed Bayer filter, giving outstanding low light or high ISO results. If you need color, get the Q2. But if you’re an old hat, and never had anything but Tri-X or Plus-X in your M camera, the Monochrom is exquisite. Leica has brought their M cameras into the 21st century without sacrificing a thing. Ease of use and everything you’d expect from Leitz at about half the price of an M10. ... show more
