This charger is the best in my opinion.A very useful EV charger to carry in my car for times when more power is needed. as it is very different to the chargers I used before.It is easy to use and has a cable length that fits perfectly when used in my garage.The charging is very fast and works very well during my use.It has a great design and protection so this charger is not easily damaged. I bought this because my new Tesla did not come with a free charger as they did for my previous Tesla 3. I researched on various chargers in the market and decided to buy Asani because it has only one bad review which is not really an issue. I think the reviewer applied Nema 6-20 (16 amp) directly to his car. I am not familiar with his car which is not Tesla. In general house 120V supplies 15 amp. That is why Asani supplied a Nema 5-15 adapter separately. I attached 5-15 to the charger together with J1772 in front that will fit into Tesla Y. This will give currency up to 15 amp. However, if a user is not comfortable, Tesla still gives drivers to limit amp as they wish. I started charging Y after I set the limit to 15 amp. I worried so much about this bad review and took a few days to consult with friends and engineers. This charger speed is even faster than Tesla that it takes 50 hours to have 0-100% vs 72 hours for the same charge at 120v 15 amp. No heating problem with electrical lines or the charger. Please let me know on my observation, if I am wrong as I am not an electrician.

I've had this for about 6 months now and have had no issues with it. One of those basic items that just needs to work, and it does. My last two residences both had Level 2 chargers in the garage, which was a nice convenience. I moved to a house that doesn't and I don't want to invest in installing one here. Happily, I have a plug-in hybrid (Ford C-Max Energi) that has a very small plug-in battery. So, when I use a Level 2 charger, I'm full in 1.25 hours. This one takes almost 3 hours. So, this solution is a MUCH cheaper and only slightly inconvenient alternative. The other benefit is that it's easy to just throw it into the car if I ever take a trip.
