  • Exact replacement for Dometic upper units.
This is an upper unit exact replacement for older Dometic units. It is plug-and-play with the lower control box. Just get it in place, plug in the plastic plug and the ice detector wire and it is connected. The four hold down bolts from below fit perfectly. Easy do-it yourself; but you need some help getting it on top of the RV. ... show more

  • Blows cold and isn't noisy
This AC unit is working very well. It even stood up to some summer heat. The hole wasn't exactly the same but the one I had was from 2006 but it was very close and a minor adjustment. I had to add the inside control box because of the type of camper I have. It also isn't as loud as my old one. I've had no leakage issues at all. ... show more

  • Bulky and Fragile. 2012 Road Warrior
Would buy again but look over the unit before install due to it being bulky and fragile. Installed on a 2012 Road Warrior. Had some damage to the packaging but the ac looked fine when I pulled it out. It ended up shifting the fan internally causing it to jam when started. Had to bend the entire assembly a little so the fan would stop catching on the shroud. The foam casing was fragile as well and had put some aluminum tape on it so it didn’t crack anymore. And I also had to make my own bolts because the 7” bolts weren’t long enough. I grabbed an all thread and cut it to size. I did mine to 8.5” and put nuts on both sides of the bottom bracket to give it some support. Just thought I would pass that information along in case you run into the same issue. ... show more

  • Very well made
Arrived quickly, then I opened it up to install a soft start unit and was very impressed with how well made the unit is. Completely interchangeable with the lower unit I had from another manufacturer. The one thing I wish is for these manufacturers to start factory installing the soft start units since it is so common for us to install them. They have at least a ten year history of performance. ... show more

  • Only what
What is on top of the roof is the ONLY thing that is included. There is no ceiling assembly with controls at all. No instruction manual or wiring diagram (nor can I find one online). No mounting bracket to attach it. No divider to separate air going in and out. I removed the white cover to look for said items and had a hard time putting it back on due to it being crushed and bowed out. The box it came in and plastic cover showed zero damage so it may have came from factory like that. After hiring a HVAC guy to re-wire to use same plug as previous unit I learned that the motor is bad. He also failed to find wiring diagram online but were able to match colors. People in videos should mention the lack of ceiling assembly. Especially the one showing them installing. U could tell he used a switch other than found on a control board but he never mentioned it. ... show more

  • It's an ac unit..but...well I'll elaborate with this review
Wish to never have to post poor reviews, ever. But I think you should know this information before you decide on a purchase of a new rv roof ac. consider and compare. Ok,it cools and does do soom to the process of air dehumidification which makes it a air-conditioning unit . Now for the rest of the story. After you purchase and install the start capacitor they offer sold separately and you purchase the one of their ceiling unit one of two are offered for this an hope that it's not broken parts (😭😟 ) when it arrives you have just spent the amount of a good rv roof ac unit with everything included. But hindsight really is 20/20. Hope that helps you decide first and foremost it would have been great to have thought it through..I blame my lack of understanding, consideration plus not involving and using The CALCULATOR...😟 for totality I guess I can live with it. stay cool 😎 folks 😎 👌. ... show more
