I ordered two of these to replace my brisk a/c on my class a motor home, the install was quick and fairly easy. The unit only has the 3wires hot, ground and neutral. My old unit had several more in a connector power, thermostat and 12v. So figuring out which were necessary was small challenge ( effected the lights when 12v was disconnected). So make sure your 12v gets reconnected. It took me about an hour and a half to install both and 15 minutes to figure out the 12v side. They are super quiet, temp is displayed on the unit. Overall it’s a must have for replacing your old unit. Update I’ve had them running for 2 1/2 months here in KeyWest now and they are preforming flawlessly I can’t say enough good things about this A/C unit ... show more

As a long term rver, i am on camper number nine. I have had several brands of a/c units all of which did give good service. However, this RecPro unit is the quietest and smoothest operating unit I have come across. The unit arrived a week ahead of estimated time in perfect condition. Easy install, decent cooling. The power draw doesn’t seem excessive. My friend and I put installed it in about three hours, including breaks. We were able to ratchet and push it on top of the RV together.

This unit is great! We replaced our 2018 unit because it seemed to be dragging a bit and popping breakers at some campgrounds, but mainly, because it was so loud. This new unit is so quiet. I love how we can watch the TV without it BLARING LOUD to hear it over the AC We had our son's come over and help us install it on the roof, which was our only concern, how to get it up on the roof safely. Only took about an hour to remove the old one and replace with the new unit. Love the remote control too. NOTE: We discovered a loose connection when we remomod the old unit which was probably why it was popping breakers. ... show more

The only issue I have even though I read the reviews is the outside fan that comes on when the compressor does and is really loud. It's not all that loud inside but really is on the outside. Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2025 by This is a nice unit it's easy to install however it's supposed to come with a bracket to mount the thermostat control on a wall and never includes it in the box it's would be much easier also if it had the knob control option as it can be a knoghmsre to run the extra wires for the wall mount control but this AC units runs smooth and quiet and has a great product warranty that's extendable for another 3 years the air deflector is not as nice as say domestic to control the air flow direction at the ceiling but it does the job none the less my customers like the system vans the attractive appearance of the unit on their rv roof and it's much lighter than a Coleman or recpro unit and most dometic AC units
