As a long-time user of Purina Tidy Cats 24/7 Performance Clumping Cat Litter, I can confidently say it’s been a consistent, reliable choice for my two-cat household. Experience: I’ve been using this litter for years, and it continues to deliver. The 38 lb. box is hefty and can be a little awkward to pour at first, but it’s easy to open — plus, once it’s empty, the box itself doubles nicely as a sturdy trash can. Clumping and Cleaning: The clumping is generally firm and reliable. However, if your cat has a habit of going right along the edge of the litter box (like mine), you’ll want to scoop early and often to avoid clumps breaking apart. With regular scooping, it’s very manageable and keeps the box clean. Odor Control: Odor control is solid as long as you maintain a regular scooping schedule. I even went a step further and built a custom fan with a filter for my litter area to help with dust and odor — probably overkill, but it shows how seriously I take litter management! Dust and Tracking: There is some dust when pouring, but in my experience, it’s not overwhelming. The real key is maintaining the space — when you stay on top of it, tracking is minimal, and the area stays tidy. Other Notes: I can’t compare it to other litters since I’ve been loyal to Tidy Cats from the start, but buying it weekly says something about how dependable it is. In my opinion this brand is the best you can get for your cat. Odor control is immediate and the longevity is impressive. A big factor for me is the dust level is less than other brands I’ve used when in a pinch. Highly recommended for cat owners. Another excellent use is during the winter (almost upon us) is this can aid you getting unstuck from the ice or light snow. Not a bad idea to store one of the larger bags in your trunk. This litter works great!!! It’s relatively low dust compared to other litters and lasts for a while before needing to be replaced. It also keeps stink down really well. Scooping can get messy, i.e. the scoop gets mushy litter on it when scooping. I recommend using a litter box liner of some sort, a cost effective option is cutting the seams of a garbage bag and spreading that across the bottom of the box. ... show more

Honestly, the texture is spot on for litter. The dust, however, is a lot more than I thought it was going to be and my cats actually track this all over the house even with a little Matt in front of their litter box. It doesn’t last very long doesn’t have very much odor control and I guess for the price it’s OK but I would like something where I don’t have to buy three days later. ... show more
