Description

Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Visit the Store Summer is the perfect time for taking an RVing trip. Whether you love to visit the ocean, park your rig at an RV park, or boondock in the middle of nowhere, summer is a terrific time to do so. One of the big concerns with camping during the warmer seasons, however, is hot warm it can get. In an RV, the small space can make heat and humidity feel even worse than it is. While you can open your windows and turn on a fan, this will only do so much and can leave you feeling stifled and overheated. If you really want to cool your rig and yourself down, then an RV air conditioner is the way to go. The problem with most RV AC units is that it's loud, sucks up energy, and just doesn’t work as well as you want it to. We've thought about this problem and have come up with a solution. This RV air conditioner is significantly quieter than most RV AC units, leaving you cooler without the noise. It also uses fewer amps, saving you energy and money. With all of the amazing qualities of this RV air conditioner, you may be tempted to rely solely on it to keep your RV cool. There are a few tips, however, that will help to keep you cool and lessen the strain on your air conditioner. First, close all the doors, windows, and skylights. Or course this doesn't quite work if there is a nice breeze, but if the outside is blazing hot, you don't want it to make its way inside. Next, close the curtains and open up the awning to keep the heat of the sun from warming up your RV interior. If possible, park under a shady area. Cook outside when possible to keep the cooking from warming up your rig. To keep the energy usage down and leave more for the air conditioning unit, turn off any unnecessary appliances and, rather than turning the AC unit off during the cooler parts of the day, simply turn it down. This prevents frequent starting and stopping If you know an upcoming day is going to be specifically hot, turn the AC unit on during the cooler parts of the morning so it can adjust to the temperature gradually instead of immediately working on high speed. With these tips, you can keep your RV air conditioner working better for longer and keep yourself and your RV cooler. This RV air conditioner measures 33 1/2" wide by 8 13/16" high by 44 3/16" deep for the outdoor unit and 20 5/16" wide by 1 15/16" high by 22 5/8" deep for the ceiling assembly. Using 115V power, it weighs about 99 pounds and has a maximum airflow of 318 CFM. Non-ducted to allow for easier setup and use, this RV AC unit comes with a remote control that allows you to change the settings and speed of the unit from the comfort of your couch. With other models, you would have to climb up to your AC unit and manually adjust the knobs and buttons. With this remote, though, you can say goodbye to that task. And the comfort doesn't stop at the remote either. One of the big drawbacks to a lot of AC units is that they are loud and annoying. With a low decibel level of 59.7 at the highest indoors, this RV air conditioner is quiet and low noise, leaving you relaxed and unbothered. Coming in the colors of black and white, it fits any RV color scheme and has a simple, sleek look. If you're looking for an RV air conditioner unit that's quiet, high efficiency, and has terrific temperature quality, you've found just the model for you. Because of the delicate nature of the circuitry that is exposed to the elements and the upper limit of amp draw needed to work, the ACs will not function above an outdoor temperature of 122°F. Be sure to always check the weather ahead of travel and park in the shade when possible. Determining what kind of air conditioner you need may be done using several methods: ● Refer to the manual of your vehicle. ● Speak with the manufacturer of your vehicle. ● Inspect any air vents in your vehicle for ducting. If ducting is present, you will need a ducted air conditioner. If ducting is not present, you will need a non-ducted unit. ● Inspect your current air conditioner unit by removing the plenum and looking for air duct connections. If air duct connections are found, you will need a ducted air conditioner. If duct connections are not present, you will need a non-ducted air conditioner. ● If no AC unit is currently installed, inspect the sides of the AC mounting hole in the roof of your vehicle for duct openings. If duct openings are present, you will need a ducted air conditioner. If duct openings are not present, you will need a non-ducted air conditioner.

  • Great quiet RV air conditioner
Color: White
Just had this air conditioner installed in our Thor Majestic RV. It looks great and is a nice low profile in the RV. We have only tested it out but so far it is awesome. Our original air conditioner was sooooo loud. This is so quiet. There is just a soft hum. We love that it is for both heat and cooling. Seems to be very good quality. ... show more

  • Passenger van rooftop AC
Color: Black
Have had this installed only two weeks so further updates may be helpful. at this point condensation forms and drips down on passengers so went back into the shop to try to correct this problem , as it is quite a bit of water that is dripping down onto seats of vehicle and floor area. The condensation off of the air conditioning unit is where this water is coming from , no leaks just condensation. ... show more

  • Awesome unit
Color: White
I added this to my 6X12 cargo trailer which I use to bring motorcycles to and from the racetrack. My girlfriend and I sleep in it over the course of our often 3 day stays at the track. This unit is fantastic for the midwest. Keeps the trailer warm during the cool nights in the spring and fall, and also capable of keeping it seriously cool in the hot summer months. The unit is also surprisingly quiet! I was expecting it to make quite a bit of noise and vibration on the thin tin roof of the trailer but it's so quiet that I couldn't even tell when the compressor was cycling. I insulated the trailer with R-5 foam board on both the walls and the ceiling to help the trailer retain warm/cool air which should dramatically help efficiency, however with the power this thing has, that may be a bit unnecessary if you wanted to skip it and don't mind the higher electricity usage. If you're doing what I did, converting a cargo trailer into something to take short stays in, you'll obviously need to run AC power to the Air Conditioning unit. This was my first AC power project that I ever attempted and it wasn't bad at all. I ended up mounting a 30A shore power plug on the outside of the trailer and mounting half a dozen receptacles inside the trailer, as well as lights and on a light switch. Fun little project for a DIYer who isn't afraid to tear their trailer apart. ... show more
