Anyone have a problem with condensate dripping into the rv from this unit? Any thoughts how to fix it? I expected the install of this unit to take most of the day. From turning the breaker off to remove the old unit to turning it back on with the unit installed took less than 3 hours. And the cooling power is just as expected for a 15k btu unit. The unit was installed on a 2003 Roadtrack, which is a converted Dodge Van. Unit was well packed although interior part was not delivered until a few days later. Install manual had some translation and factual errors, however the unit was far easier to install than the manual would lead you to believe. The bottom of the unit is essentially flat, but has about a 1 1/4” tall dense foam square that fits between the unit and the roof. There are three additional pieces under the overhang of the unit towards the rear—net effect—you don’t have to worry about how to move it across the roof. You just sit the thing on the roof and do all connections from inside. Nice and quiet. Powered easily with 2K Generator. ... show more

its heavy, so you will probable need 2 people to get it up on the roof, but it was over all easy to install. hooked right into where my old ac was. just had to wire it up and turn the breaker back on. it puts out a good flow of air. only got it installed today, but VERY nice. but dont exepect to get it on time, fed ex likes to screw up heavy orders ... show more

As an air conditioner it's amazing..cools our food truck down in no time, but we specifically paid extra for the unit with a heater so we could run the truck in the winter. Today it's 40 degrees and the unit is blowing Luke warm air for 20 minutes at a time before going into defrost mode for 10 minutes and not blowing any air. What happens when winter really hits and it's in the teens? So.. if you I u want a great ac unit .. this is good. Heater? Not so much... update...I'm colder and therefore more irritated! Why on earth would you make a heater that barely works in cold!!! Updating this again. I contacted the seller on this, asking why my HEATER did not work in cold weather. I was told that the listing said that the unit will not work in temperatures below 30degrees. I scoured the listing multiple times. This was not present in the listing. After saving the listing, i contacted them again stating that maybe it was information on their website, but it was NOT in the amazon listing. They sent me a screen shot of what they claimed to be from the amazon listing highlighting where it stated that the unit will not work under 30degrees. That's right .. they updated the listing after the fact and sent me a doctored screen shot of the listing with added information to prove me wrong. I replied with my saved copy of the listing and asked them to show me on this document WHERE that information was. They finally admitted that it was not on the listing. They flat out lied. We paid $150 to have this product installed on our truck. They offered to refund us for the unit, but if we do that, we're out that $150 PLUS another $150 to install a different unit on the truck (since there is now a giant hole in our roof!) We asked them to refund us what we paid for installing a unit sold to us under false pretenses which they have of course refused to do. At this point, we have been forced to cut our losses and keep the unit since it would cost us hundreds of dollars to fix this. Our only hope is that our review here will discourage people from falling for the same dishonest practices that we fell for. Maybe they will see a hit to their bottom line and decide to start doing the right thing! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I installed this on a vintage 1967 Avion T22. While taking the old fan vent and trimming the existing aluminum bevels out was tedious, the actual installation is reasonably simple. I ran this with its own 20amp cord direct out and not wired to the camper's electrical. This unit is rated for 837 sq ft. My camper is 132 sq ft. I took it camping on a 96 degree day and it cooled it down to 65 in a matter of minutes. I ran it both off direct electrical and off a generator for a weekend with no issues.
