I thought it would be big enough but it's too small . Thinking that my 8 foot area would need some shade and went with the 8x8x8 triangle. Too small . Yes it's 8 foot but since it's triangle , the center area is more like 3 foot squared. I should have went with the 12x12x12 so the center would cover more space for more shade. So if you think what you are ordering will be big enough , go a few sizes up and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

This is the 2nd one we’ve bought. If I had my way, my whole backyard would be shaded by these. The provide the perfect amount of sun & shade! My husband says they are easy to install. He put 2 hooks in the eave of the house, Set 2 poles in concrete & put eye hooks with turnbuckles on them & voila!!

Inexpensive way to add shade to a large area. I didn't realize my new Trex deck would be so hot in the sun. An umbrella isn't enough. I'm hoping to provide enough shade to walk barefoot. I do wish toggle connections had been provided.

I bought two of these to cover my patio. I wanted two smaller ones versus one large one to make it easier to put up by myself. They are not waterproof, which i knew before buying. They are light weight but made well and are very strong. Have used for one season so far ( 2022 ), i take them down during the winter and will put them up again in the early summer. So far, so good. Hopefully they will last many years. I like these so much i might buy another two that are a different color. Should they not hold up due to rain and sun ( normal weather conditions ), i will update this. As of now i highly recommend. ... show more

Bought an anchor package seperately I had one side of my house with zero shade so not comfortable to sit outside when the sun is blazing down Now I have a huge area to sit in when ever I want can get out of the wind and rain. The photo is of the 10'x10' which I would rate 5 out of 5 stars, based on my experience so far. I installed it a couple of weeks ago and have been quite pleased. I was able to tension it enough to keep it quite taut. We haven't had any major rain yet, so I'll still have to see how well the water drains. I did slope it, but it hasn't been tested. It is taut enough that it moves very little in the wind. It lets through a lot more light than I expected, but it definitely helps keep things cooler. I have a western-facing back deck, so blocking some of the afternoon sun makes a big difference. I liked this enough that I almost immediately also bought the larger 12'x16' version, which I, unfortunately, have not been as pleased with. I'd only rate the 12'x16' as 3 out of 5 stars for the following reasons. - Unlike the 10'x10' version, no matter how much I tension the 12'x16', it still sags a bit in the middle, and I have it very taut. That is disappointing. I am going to have to do some remediation to ensure that water won't pool faster than it can drain during a heavy rain. -1 point for the sag that can't be removed by tensioning. - While the specs for the products indicate that they are constructed of identical material, they are clearly different. The 12'x16' version appears to have a looser weave than the 10'x10' and the HDPE material is clearly not as thick as it is on the 10'x10'. This leaves me much more concerned about the longevity and durability of the larger product. It seems fragile compared to the 10'x10'. -1 point for the thinner and visibly less robust fabric used for the 12'x16'. - Though I ordered the same color as the 10'x10', the 12'x16' is significantly lighter in color. I understand that different production batches can vary, but that was still disappointing. However, I didn't knock any points off of my score for the color difference. ... show more
