The shade is as described online. I built a shade arbor/swing on my wharf and used the shade as a canopy over the swing. It does well so far for providing good shade and allowing wind and water through. I wanted something that would not entirely block all elements but provide a lightweight fabric that didn’t stretch tremendously. During a heavy thunderstorm it allowed the rain to mist through without collecting a large puddle and weighing it down. And during direct South Louisiana sunlight, it provides enough cooling shade to comfortably sit under it. At the price I can replace multiple times a year if needed. This was the perfect addition to our pergola. Fits beautifully and gives us some shade. Easy to install, but you will need a step stool. You have a choice between installing with nylon ties, zip ties, or ball bungee cords (all included). Great purchase!
