I purchased this 4x4 square pillow for only $8 last November before closing my pool. For what I paid, this thing has surprised me with how well it is handling this brutal winter. I have another pool pillow from 2022 that is much higher quality, but I ended up letting my parents use it and I couldn’t pass up the price on this one. My ONLY complaint (which for the price, it’s to be expected) is how thin the “ropes” are that you tie to the pool to center it. At least one of mine broke, which is fine. I can never get these things to stay completely centered all winter anyways. I overfilled it more than I should have (probably to about 90%….don't do this! Ice causes it to expand, so only fill to about 75%) and so far, it's still holding up great! Material is just thick enough. I highly recommend this product as long as you buy it when it is on sale. Buy thicker rope if you want them all to last all winter long. The ones it comes with are very thin (like shoestring thin). I will update this review when I take the cover off and open the pool in a couple months! :) Sorry, I forgot to take photos of it before the cover went on.

We just got these large pool pillows and were initially impressed for the price. You will want to double knot/square knot/securely knot the strings because they will come off while in the water. I had to get in when they came off 😅 brrr. Anywho, they seem to be good quality, held their air so far and will hopefully hold up through the winter. Will report back if anything negative happens! For reference: our pool is a 24'. You can see that our problem was last year, the tarp sat in the water. Update 10.19.23: we ended up replacing the tarp as it ended up ripping so the pic not reflects the new cover. Pro tip 1: start with your cover in the middle of the pool(unfold, find middle, then bunch/roll/fold up so it can be moved easily over the pool and pillows) and spread out each side from there. It keeps the pillows from moving too much and having to fight to rearrange them back to the center. Pro tip 2: if they make it more than one season, I will be replacing the cheap rope with proper outdoor string from Walmart or a hardware store, it will last longer since this other string probably won't make it through the winter. If you want, I would even do it before the first use!

I have an in-ground pool and needed a little extra support in the middle of the cover as it ages. I've been waiting to review this as I had not closed our pool until I had some work done. This works well. It's heavy vinyl with a 2-part filler cap - large & small - for quick bulk filling and final top-up. Corners have metal grommets to help the ropes hold the pool pillow in place. Small Nylon ropes come to hold it in place while you get the cover over it. Size shouldn't be a problem, as the cover rests on the pillow once you get it lined up. It will be easy to deflate and fold you next spring, with the large filler cap. I expect years of use.

Theses are excellent Love the twist lock and no air comes out when using that feature. So you can use pump and then use valve inside to blow up more without air coming out before screwing top on. Great quality, comes with 4 strings Had to replace pool store one after putting it in. Only lasted one year like the rest for the past 20 years. Before and after photos. I bought 2 for 24 round pool.

I ordered a different pillow and it felt so cheap I knew it wouldn’t last. I tried this brand which was a little more expensive but not much. It was 100% worth the extra as the material is way thicker and better quality. I feel confident it will last through the cold winter season of Michigan.

An inflatable pillow is a nice option for raising the center of a pool cover, assuming the pool's water level is at or near full. This pillow has a nice air valve that gives you several options for inflation, however if, like me, your only option is to use a compressor with smallish adaptors you will have to jerry-rig something (I just wrapped my hand around the valve and the compressor's "blow gun" and that provided enough seal to allow inflation). The pillow is held in place by lightweight line (included) attached to grommets on the pillow, one on each corner. I only used two grommets and that worked for me.
