Can't use it because I don't trust it to not fall apart. It's in a very protected area, but any wind causes it to go to pieces. I have it weighted down so it doesn't fall over all the time. However, the shelves still come detached regularly. Might try gluing it together, but overall, not worth it.

They say you get what you pay for, and this Miracle-Gro greenhouse was only ~$20. The outer supports of this greenhouse are solid; all of the metal tubing and exterior plastic that tubes slot into are on par with other greenhouses in this category and should hold up well. Assembly is easy and doesn't take more than a few minutes. It's once I got to the shelves, however, that I started to notice corners were being cut. The writing of the shelves is /very/thin; it will support seed trays because of the larger metal tubes on which shelves rest, but they're by no means strong. Add to that a number of poorly soldered connections leaving corners coming off or long wires loose on one end, and I wasn't impressed. Furthermore, according to the directions you just "rest" the shelves on top of the supports without connections; I wouldn't recommend it seeing as they'll slide or bounce all over the place on you. It's easy enough to zip-tie them to the larger structure... /if/ the company had supplied a handful of zip-ties, which they did not. Overall it's helpful added greenhouse space, and the plastic cover helps you to regulate weather and temp a bit whether used inside or outside, but cutting corners with quick welds on thin shelves and not including zip-ties made for some small frustrations. ... show more

This is our second product like this. The first was purchased at a home and yard store a year ago. This model is very easy to assemble, about 5 feet a top height. It's lightweight. It did not require any tools to put together, though not a bad idea to have some gloves to help with gripping, but that's about it. IMPORTANT!! Because it's lightweight, it's extremely important that you put something very heavy on the bottom shelf and / or secure it to a wall or other structure behind it. If this is not done, and you experience a windstorm, it's likely you will wake up to a seed and soil smorgasbord, not what you ever want to find! As this is a lot like the one we purchased last year, I would say they will last through two seasons. The zippers do get a bit sticky, so be careful. Also, the plastic cover can become quite brittle from a year in the sun, so be careful with that too but, overall a nice return on the cost, and again, super easy to assemble. ... show more

This greenhouse is a nice size for small plants and starting seeds. It was easy to assemble and did not take very long. It isn’t the most sturdy greenhouse, so I wouldn’t really recommend it for outside use, unless it is well protected from wind. I think it would be best to use indoor with some grow lights in it and a fan for airflow, as these kinds of greenhouses get mold inside kind of easy if they don’t have much airflow and aren’t allowed to air out from time to time. I definitely recommend zip tying all of the shelves to the support bars so that they don’t slide around, and to add a bit more stability to the overall structure. I do wish there was a bar that ran from the front to the back supports at the top so that you could hang a light or fan from it. Overall, I think this is a decent little greenhouse for indoor seed starting to ensure good humidity and warmth. ... show more

This mini grow house is easy to assemble, the steel frames are lightweight, the cover attaches very effortlessly, and the zippered door is very helpful, you can check and see how the plant grows every day, and the quality overall is ok for that price, but it would be excellent with more stable structures. ... show more

I rated this a 5 based on the price and how well it worked for me as an indoor greenhouse/seed starting space. Pros: Price is reasonable. Easy to assemble. Helps organize growing space. Helps keep humidity inside greenhouse. Large amount of growing areas to grow many seedlings. Negatives: Build quality is not real good. To move you need to lift from the bottom or slide the unit because the posts are not locked together and can come apart when lifting. The poles are not very durable. As an outdoor greenhouse, you need to protect it from high winds because it could easily be damaged. The unit is about 57 inches tall by 18 inches in depth and 24 inches in width. The unit has 4 shelves. The bottom 3 shelves have about 12" in height between shelves to grow your plants and place your lights if indoors. The top shelf has more space about 19 inches as designed. The unit has a see-through outer covering that easily zips open and closed and helps maintain the heat and humidity inside. For my usage, this worked great for me. I have a relatively small house and have been using an unused bathroom to grow my seedlings. It was getting very crowded and disorganized. This unit really helped me get organized. If you use a little ingenuity you can make this even better. First, I lined the outside of the greenhouse with a highly reflective white plastic film that will help reflect light back at the plants and optimize my grow lights. You can see it in my picture. I also lined the front by attaching it to the door. When I close the front door and zip it up, it reflects light all back to the interior maximizing the effects of my grow lights. Second, I extended the top with some heavy duty wire to hang a good grow light I have and allow me to grow my tomato plants quite tall before final transplant outside. This was on the top level that allowed me 19 inches of growth and that was extended another 6 inches or so with my modification. Third, the next highest shelf, I hung a double light under the shelf and was able use almost the full 12 inches space between the shelves for plant growth. My bottom 2 shelves I used for my seed starter kits that have there own lights. There is a lot of room for many plants at different stages of development. The width of the unit allows for placing a large planting tray. The depth allows for a number of different arrangements. You will want to have some waterproof trays and bottom liner as shown in my picture if using inside. Outside that won't be a worry. I would not want to use this outside unless it was protected from wind. It could easily be blown down and damaged.
