Granted, I may be handier at assembling things than most, AND, this was a simple, logical, well-documented assembly and installation of the Amico fan. The folks that had a complaint about things not fitting together properly simply didn't follow the instructions. There is one step where you have to align 4 holes, one of which has a projection that fits into the piece below it in only one position - if you get that wrong, it won't assemble correctly. Just take your time - everything actually fits together perfectly. I could take off 1 star because the instruction manual makes you interpret the images without a lot of supporting text, and a couple of the pieces (screws) in the images are super tiny - hard to see the details. But at no point was it unclear what to do next - the manual is vastly better than most. The fan finish quality was excellent and appropriate for the price point. The remote is better than many that come with the lower end fans. It has a delightful "breeze" mode that cycles up and down in fan speed, like a breeze blowing through your window. But it's the quietness that is so stellar. On the lowest speed ("1"), it moves a modest amount of air - like for sleeping - but is absolutely dead silent. On "2" it is barely audible, on up to "6" where it's pushing a lot of air and still isn't loud or obnoxious. Bottom line: this is a great fan, especially considering the price.

Update; I'm changing my review to 4.5 stars. The service manager for Amico quickly reached out to me to ensure the fan has all the parts. I still did not find the small light plate screws. I did however, manage to bury the light clip to not show when the light is on. I also received an additional remote control incase the original stops functioning. The fan functions great and my kids love it. I ordered a second fan. They really are great for a small room with 8 foot ceiling. This Amico fan is my first upgrade fan for my house. The fan is perfect for a small room with 8 foot ceiling. The install is okay for the advanced diyer. There is electrical wiring involved. The manual has mostly pictures. The only downside for 3 stars is the light plate was missing the screws. I checked the entire box and no screws to mount the light plate. How can this product pass quality control with missing parts? I used some screws from my tool kit. The only hard part on install was the final step connecting the fan to the mounting plate. It took a few try's. A minor design flaw is the led wiring connector shows through the light cover :(. Fan is quiet and moves the air. The light is bright enough for a small room. The remote looks cheap, I don't see it lasting too long. Would I buy another one, nope. I'll chose another.

Instructions were clear, and I had it up and running in no time. -Compact Size: While compact, it doesn’t compromise on its efficiency. It’s a great choice for those with limited ceiling space. -Remote Control: A super-convenient addition that allows you to control the fan without the need to stand up. -Powerful Performance: Despite its size, the fan efficiently moves air around the room, ensuring an even temperature throughout. Cons: -Cable Shadow: A small oversight in the design. The cable for the light casts a shadow on the light globe, which can be a little distracting when the light is on. -Size: While the compact design is a pro in terms of space-saving, it does look a tad undersized in a medium-sized room. However, it's more of an aesthetic concern than a functionality one. In conclusion, the pros of this fan far outweigh its minor cons. The modern design and powerful functionality make it a worthy purchase. This fan is impressive. It installs easily, hugs the ceiling closely, has 6 fan speeds, is super quiet, has a dimmer LED light that provides 3 different types of luminescence (soft light, day light, and standard fluorescent color lighting). Highly recommended!

Better than expected for the price. Easy to install, assembled and hung myself in about an hour! Bought nickel and it was perfect match for new stainless appliances in my kitchen. Not as shiny as the pictures here that I worried about before I got. More a brushed nickel look..thank goodness. Works flawlessly with remote. Smooth,silent operation. It appears that company addressed all the previous complaints in these reviews. As I experienced NO drawbacks!

I love the look of these sleek and modern ceiling fans vs the ones you can get from home depot. These fans have no noise from light bulbs or cords clicking together (that drives me insane!). They are just very modern and MUCH stronger than the Hampton Bay-- Home Depot ones. This is the second one I purchased and I will be getting a third for my last bedroom. They hook up very easy to my 1940 wiring as well. Love Love Love these ceiling fans!
