The product looks fine and protects well from the sun. What I think they should include is information on how to install it (i.e. tension), what side up, readjustment after time (maybe), will it stretch. Also, how do you maintain it, should it be washed and if so how.

Was slightly larger than 8 ft x 16 ft but just added more pitch to the install to accomodate the larger size. Was easy to install in just a little over an hour includes the 8 ft posts away from the house. I knew it was water permeable but with the added pitch it rolls off before it can come through. Will keep our home cooler in the harsh afternoon sun! I would have no problem buying another! ... show more

use as sun shade for plants and patio. I purchased 2 and thinking in adding more. they keep the area at least 10 cooler under it, also they are very hardy I live an a windy area and they stand to hard winds without flying away or tearing.

I'm actually using this in a slightly different capacity than intended, but it's installed in the same fashion so I'm assuming my review is still valid. In my case, I've installed the shade sail in front of my garage door, kind of like a screen, so that when the garage door is open I can work in there with some degree of privacy from street view and still have light come in. I live in the high desert, so it's exposed to constant sunlight and wind and it seems to suit my purposes well.
