I really like this pan. I will have to own it for at least a year before I can determine if it was actually worth the purchase. I just became so tired of non stick pans. They all claim to last long which is a lie. Once that surface starts to fall apart. It's a wrap. So I feel I made a good buy with this pan. It looks nice. It's definitely steel. The pan is very heavy actually. Seems like it might weigh close to 12-15 pounds. I'm not sure. It heats up very fast. The handle doesn't get hot as I thought it might. Cleaning it is not the easiest but just use scouring pads. It will get up all that cooked on left over food. Then put it in the dishwasher to finish it off. It's shiny and seems extremely durable. So over all I would recommend this cooking pan.

You'll need to watch a few YouTube videos on how to gauge the heat. It involves putting a half-teaspoon (approx) in the pan. If it boils off, the pan isn't hot enough. If it splays all over the pan, it's too hot. If the water rolls around as if it were a drop a mercury, the heat is just right. Add oil and cook. Then it's non-stick. And no poisonous coatings.

I have ruined so many coated pans, but used correctly this pan can do the same job. If you have electric, you can turn the heat off early and the meat finishes cooking and stays warm. It’s heavy. When I get some cash together I’m going to get a 9.5 One. Love this pan.

Out of the box, this is a beautiful pan and I was very pleased with it the first few months. Pan is now warped resulting in the oil pooling on one side and is unstable over the stove. I ordered another triple ply SS 12” skillet for $35. This warping could have been from misuse by a family member or me but I’m generally careful. Hopefully, you will have better results than me.

I have always purchased cookware in person so that I can examine the product before buying. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a small frying pan locally that is not coated with a non-stick cooking surface. As a last resort, I browsed Amazon's selections and decided to try this one. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was exactly what I was looking for: heavy enough to do the job well and just the right size. In the time since I made the purchase, I've used this pan often. It cleans up easily and, unlike pans with a non-stick coating, I don't have to worry about accidently scratching the cooking surface and ruining the pan. All in all, a very good pan for the price.
