  • Wish they were a tad bigger
Color: Black Size: 3.5 Inch Style: Mini Skillet
I needed a small cast iron pan to use as a water bath to bring a liquid bird food mixture up to suitable temperature for my wife's sick duck, which we're feeding orally with a syringe. I had been using a larger pan but also needed that one for cooking, so hoped these would substitute. Heat source is a 7"induction burner. It doesn't work as well as the larger pan because it's not large enough - the burner intermittently shuts off because it's not detecting the pan. But then it comes on again and eventually the food gets heated. I tried using 2 pans at once on the burner but no better luck. These were a Prime Day sale item so no great loss. ... show more

  • Very small, read description well
Color: Black Size: 3.5 Inch Style: Mini Skillet
So I ordered these to make mashed potato sides in and I knew they were going to be small but they were even smaller than I was expecting. Very tiny. The diameter is from edge to edge and not really the cooking surface so they are good for a very small side or maybe to make a single egg. Quality was good though and packaging was great. ... show more

Cutest little personal cast iron skillets. Perfect for individual desserts for those who don't like to share.

  • Really small

Size was outer not inside. Not feasible for the cooking I had in mind. It would probably be good for making cute crafts

  • A bit smaller than I thought.
Color: Black Size: 3.5 Inch Style: Mini Skillet
These are adorable little cast iron skillets. I like the diameter of them but they are much more shallow than I thought. Just have to be cautious of things boiling over.

  • Scorch first!
Color: Blue Size: 10 Inch Style: Skillet
Like with any cast iron pan, you should ALWAYS season your pan first. I'm a chef so this is a no-brainer for us, but most home cooks think that "pre-seasoned" means non-stick, that's not always the case. I'd say its best to season your pan before its first use, right on the stove top works fine. Have a dry kitchen towel you don't mind getting dirty at the ready, some flax seed oil, peanut oil or any high heating oil. Crank the heat on your stovetop as high as it will go, place a few drops of oil in the pan, and make circular motions with the kitchen towel driving the oil into the iron. Repeat this step many times making sure you are seeing the oil "dry" in the pan as you go. Your kitchen will get VERY smokey, so have a window open and your exhaust on high. This step is tedious but worth it, helps to create that "non-stick" everyone craves or is used to having from a well seasoned pan. Overall this cast iron is an absolute Bang for the Buck, stands right up next to my Staub and LeCreuset pans! ... show more
