Compact, which is great because we don’t have a lot of counter space. Easy cleanup, everything but the battery with the prongs can go in the dishwasher. Simple to put together. Great quality. Have used it three times for potato chips, chicken bites, and chicken breasts. All came out great!

I received this today, ahead of a monster snow storm we’re going to get this weekend. I was craving Buffalo chicken fingers and French fries, so that was the maiden voyage for this deep fryer. It arrived the day after I ordered it, and I live in rural Colorado. The operation and clean-up instructions are actually better than most these days. Once everything was out of the shipping box and identified, I prepped the food, heated the oil, and got to frying. The food came out superb, and I didn’t coat my kitchen in grease, as would always seem to happen with the old Presto GranPappy fryer I used for way too long (I think I had it for about 20 years...it served me well, and the only reason I threw it out today was because I was tired of scrubbing the stove and cabinets of splattered grease every time I used it). I strained the used grease to store it for future use (as suggested in the owner’s manual), wiped down the heating element, and put the other pieces of the fryer in the dishwasher. Easy meal and quick clean-up. I was a little leery when I placed this order, that a generic Amazon-produced, inexpensive deep fryer would melt down in front of me on the first use or something, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it performed admirably. If it only lasts a year, well then I will have to shop again for another one. But I’m very happy with this purchase for the time being. UPDATE: I’ve had this for about six months now, with fairly regular use (a couple of times a month). It continues to perform flawlessly. I know everyone’s experience is their own, but I simply have not had any of the negative experiences other reviewers have written about. I’m still very happy with my purchase! ... show more

I never leave reviewed but I just had to for this but because I just opened this from the package and was excited to use it and i plugged it in everywhere in the house and it does not turn on! Super frustrating, why send something over that doesn’t work? Going to return for sure. Just know if you’re buying this, there’s a 50-50 chance you receive one that doesn’t work!
