  • Seems well made and fits well.
Style: Tire Rack
I haven't used this yet, but I'll comment on the apparent quality. It looks very nice and was easy to put together. I just put it on my Jeep (JK 2011 Rubicon) and it fits very nicely. I have 32" All Terrain Tires on it. I found I was able to clip the straps onto my trailer hitch. I'm not sure where I would have clipped them if I didn't have that. The straps are long enough so that you can probably find somewhere underneath to clips them. It feels well made and seems like it's on there very securely. I'll be trying it out soon with my bike. If there are any problems or if it starts to fall apart at some point I'll update this review, otherwise it's what I was hoping for. ... show more

  • Great Bike Rack, but be careful during installation...
Style: Tire Rack
Purchased this on 8-13-18. Very Nice, solidly built two bike rack holds up to 70lbs. The description is not clear; however; This bike rack (Model 302DN) is only made for the 1994-2018 Jeep Wranglers (JK), (not the 2018 JL as clearly stated), 2002-2009 Jeep Liberty's and 1997-2006 Honda CRV's which is on the back of the retail packaging. The Rack is very well built and easy assembly (using only a 7/16 driver, socket or wrench). It is highly recommend that you take your time inserting the set-up pins. They will scratch the powder coat badly (as seen in one of my pics) AND they can pinch your fingers. I recommend hold the rack against your chest firmly to insert. I did the other side this way and not scratch. It's a great rack for the price!! Very well built and will works well. I will probably use some bungy cords and a lashing strap just to be safe, which I have done before in the past. Overkill is better than dropping your expensive bikes at 60mph. I hope this review is helpful for future buyers. ... show more

  • Affordable rack best for slim bikes
Style: Tire Rack
I have a 2000 Honda CR-V and this rack fits perfectly over my spare tire. It was easy to assemble and install. I usually put two medium-sized mountain bikes on it, and it’s a tight fit. It takes some wrangling to get the bikes in a position where they’re not smashing into each other, but it can be done. For the price, this rack is the way to go. It’s nice that I can lock my bikes to the car with a cable lock through the spare tire mount. Also, because the rack is attached to my back door, it swings completely out of the way when I need to access the back of my car. This is so much better than a hitch-mounted rack that I’d always be tripping over. ... show more

  • Works great & easy to install.
Style: Tire Rack
Works great on my Jeeps. Don’t have to use special attachments or tools. Just hang bars over top of spare tire & secure strap hooks to anything on the bottom of vehicle, I usually use the openings on the tow ball & then just tighten the straps. Doesn’t go anywhere. Bikes just sit on the special hooks that close & lock. I’ve never had to use one before & didn’t want to put a lot of money in it so this was perfect. I do have to take it off to open the rear door of my Jeep but I just put it on last & take it off first. The other option I have done is hook the straps to the underside of the spare tire holder. It works just as well & you can open the door with the bikes still on it. Also, it’s lightweight & u can lift right off & lay in back till u need it again. ... show more

  • Does the job great!

  • Sturdy and valuable
Style: Tire Rack
2012 Rav 4 with spare on the back. I watched a couple YouTube videos and then threw my bike on there before a 60 mile drive. Not one problem at all! Then a few weeks later, I remounted my bike, but failed to do something properly, because I hit a bump and my bike started swinging in the wind. Twas quite scary. My fault tho, not the product. I recently had to take it off for a car wash and have found it difficult to remount it because the bottom straps won’t stay put. When I get time, I’ll figure it out. Overall- great buy, with only purchaser issues. ... show more

  • Good for the Price
Style: Tire Rack
This isn't a bike rack I intend on keeping for very long, but it does the job. The most difficult part was figuring out how to put it together, as the directions are confusing and don't give you all of the necessary tools. Once it's together it's fairly easy to use, though. I am only giving three stars for durability because it uses plastic and material straps, which make me doubt it's durability long term. However, I have been using the rack for about 2 months with no issue so far. ... show more

  • Good little bike rack
Style: Tire Rack
This rack was simple to put together and install. It fit right over the spare tire and latched under the door easily. The bikes mounted easily, it took me a try it two to get them on right. I was nervous about it on the 200 mile drive, constantly looking. I just knew the bikes were gonna fly off. They didn't, and I didn't hardly looked at them on the way home. They were safe and sound. And it's a reasonable price to boot. I would recommend this. ... show more
