We really like this compact stereo unit and it's retro look. The first one we received had a defective arm so it wouldn't play any records - defeating the purpose - but they were very quick with a replacement and the second one works great. The speakers seem to be good quality to me, I'm no audiophile but we have some other high quality speakers in the house for comparison and I think these sound very good. The retro style is the big selling point here of course, and it does look good, though the "walnut" housing and clear cover feel a little lower end to me than the price point suggests they should - but then again, that's pretty darn retro, right? The bluetooth connectivity is a nice bonus, it pairs easily and works well. This is a fairly compact unit that will sit nicely on a bookshelf or in your media cabinet. Our classic records do sound better through these speakers than through our vintage stereo (though I love that too). Overall this is a nice little system especially for a small space. There is a lot of competition in this price range, and I think we might be paying a bit more for the nostalgic Victola name here, but I think there's something to be said for that appeal - it definitely ups the cool factor over some no-name brand. Plus we know they have a long history and stand behind their products, which is also worth something in my book. It goes great in our "man cave" and I also think this would make a great and welcome gift for a vinyl enthusiast or teen, or even a housewarming gift. ... show more

Sleek and easy to set-up, wife really enjoys it and its look is really nice. The toggle set can get a little confusing for some people but you just need to cycle thru which input you want and you’ll be set. Decent sound, good connection to other Bluetooth devices and functional.

This is a premium all-in-one vinyl and bluetooth system, and it has a premium price tag to match. But I'm happy to say that it has met or exceeded my expectations for it. It's got all of the functionality that I need in a simple interface that's easy to use and doesn't have too many features packed in just for the sake of adding features. The sound quality of the included speakers I find to be very pleasing. I'm a music lover but not an audiophile, but I do have an audiophile member of my household, and he also thinks it sounds great. I love that I can use the speakers to stream music over bluetooth. The Audio Technica cartridge and needle are seriously great. All in all, mostly good things to say about this, but I do have some minor constructive criticism: —Although it looks very nice, especially from farther away, the faux wood and plastic don't give the sense that they are high quality materials. I wish it exuded a better build quality but I'm a little suspicious that it will be durable over time. —Related, the lid makes a creaking sound when opening or closing. I don't know if it's just mine but that doesn't seem like it should happen on a brand new product. —The bluetooth mode is nice and easy until you want to change what device is connected. There's no documentation on how to do that, and it usually takes a lot of fiddling until it works. ... show more
