While I have only been using my new AIMILER Level 2 EV Charger for about a week, I am very impressed with its design and how fast it charges my EV. The housing is well constructed and durable. The functions and feature set are intuitive and very useful (especially the status app and timer). In the app, you can fully control the charger, which is ideal if you have time-variable electric rates where you live. The 25-foot charging cable length is great for indoor unit mounting inside an exterior exposed wall of your garage, to charge your EV in the driveway. The charging cable is constructed with 8 AWG wiring, the right size for 50 amps, but still pliable enough to coil easily for quick stowing. The holding cradle is a nice addition as well, since the cap on several of my previous chargers broke off. For this unit, it does come with a dust cap as well, I just looped it around the cable and cable-tied it out of the way (since I am using the cradle). I am currently using it on the full 40-amp setting (on a 50-amp circuit) to charge my Chevy Equinox. Installation was a breeze, especially with the provided mounting bracket. I mounted it adjacent to my old 32-amp charger (also on a separate 50-amp circuit), since both my vehicles are EVs. When I compared the charging rate between chargers, I achieved a charging increase of 14 miles per hour (17 miles per charging hour on the 32-amp vs 31 miles per charging hour on the 40-amp AIMILER Level 2 EV Charger), and a three-hour time reduction as shown in the pics. Since I am on call for my work role, having a super-fast home charger is ideal, as I could arrive home after work and then have to head right back in in a few hours. I highly recommend this charger.

I purchased the AIMILER Level 2 EV Charger (48A, Hardwired) while preparing to move into a new home. Because I already had an electrician on-site for other projects, I had him professionally install it as a hardwired unit. The installation was straightforward, and the unit looks great mounted on my garage wall. I am currently using it with a 2015 Ford C-Max Energi, though I bought this higher-capacity 48A model to be future-ready for a full electric vehicle later on. The charging speed is impressive, taking about an hour or less for a full charge. Interestingly, I noticed a slight humming noise from the car the very first time I plugged it in, but it hasn’t happened again since. It seems that the car was not ready for so much power the first time, but quickly got used to it. While this is a smart charger with WiFi capabilities, I haven't had a chance to test the app features yet. The packaging included a warranty card offering an extension. I emailed the company, and they promptly promised a 1-year extended warranty. For extra peace of mind, I also have a 2-year Asurion plan. I’m very pleased with the proactive customer support so far and hope to get many years of reliable use out of this charger.

This device was easy to install once you get the 50 amp receptacle installed. I only had a 40 amp feeder to my garage so I was able to set the charger to 32 amps. I had no problem charging my Ford F150 Lightning.

Using this product cannot be easier or simpler; literally, plug-n-play operation. Soon after unboxing the product and going through the manual/documentation, I plugged the charger on the NEMA 14-50 240v outlet. The console display instructs to plug the connector. After doing so, charging immediately commenced at 40a rating. The product looks and feels very well built and the 25-foot cable is a huge plus to negotiate farther location. Additionally, Huge Shout out to the customer support team for providing prompt and accurate information.

New to the ev world, after a lot of research decided to go with this charger and so far have been very happy. Build quality is top notch and app easy to navigate. I have on a 50 amp breaker, so not using the full 48a availability, however it has been more than capable of keeping up with my needs. I installed it myself without any problems or confusion on the process as directions were pretty clear.
