So glad I ordered this. There’s areas of my hard that gets really harsh sun. This helps prevent some of my plants from being scorched while they’re still small. Installation is simple. I’d still use a second person. This was definitely worth the money.

    • 90% shade will get you sunburned fast. Blocks about 30% of measured light. Not recommended!!!

Very disappointed with this. Does not block anywhere near the rated value of 90%. My wife is allergic to the suns UV and breaks out in horrible itchy rashes from even 2-3 min in direct sun. This should have prevented that but in just 10 mins using this shade she started developing rashes on her arms and hands. It is horrible. Seems to block about 10% of the sun not 90%. It's so bad I actually thought I had read the scale wrong and that it was my mistake because it only was meant to block 10% but after looking again at the listing I see it is the shade that is wrong. It says it provides 90% shade. SO I got out my expensive light meter that I use for manual B&W film photography (yep people still use film in the art world) to see what the truth is. According to my meter's measurements this 90% shade blocks about 30-32% of the light. A LOT more light is coming in than they claim. Anyway. Can't throw this back in the bag fast enough to return. Keep looking if you want a shade. This one will get you a sunburn fast and God forbid if you have actual sun allergies like my wife!!!!! ... show more

These are great for the price and can be used for many things! They are light in weight and fold up nicely when not in use. They do perfectly at their job as a sunshade, but they also work to cover our kids small pool during the day to keep bugs out when not in use.     • Installation is a two person job

This was purchased to provide shade for my dog in an outside lot. It does that. During installation I found that it is rather easily punctured. I was able to get it installed with minimal damage. It would be best to have a helper during the installation to minimize damage.

Seams like it'll do the job of shading, but I doubt it'll last long due to just tying it up the corners already started separating. Its a loosely woven mesh tarp, which will allow slight airflow and water when it rains. Keep that in mind for what you plan on using it for.
