Every time I use this hybrid stainless steel and rubber garden hose, I'm amazed again by: 1) how lightweight it is 2) how flexible it is 3) how easy it is to coil 4) how small the coiled hose is 5) the lack of tangling It's not your typical rubber hose by any means other than the ability to transport a stream of water. I've purchased a second to have the longer length I sometimes need. I'm a smaller woman and truly appreciate the ease of using this (new to me) hose technology compared to the man-handling required with long rubber hoses. Only time will tell, but so far, no leaks in the hose or at it's connections on either end. ... show more

This metal hose design is a much smarter way to do garden hoses now, in my opinion. The metal material will not allow the hose to kink, so no more running back to search the hose for a reason the water has stopped flowing. The ends look like brass, they provide a good secure fit when screwed together. The hose looks good, its silver finish makes it easy to spot in long grass so you do not accidentally hit it with the lawn mower. This metal design hose cannot kink, and the hose does not seem to make the water hot when left out in the direct hot sun for hours at a time. It is much lighter to pull along and handle and the water just flows through it. I am very impressed with this better smarter designed garden hose. ... show more

    • I Love The Metal Coiled Exterior!
I already own a 50-foot hose just like this one, but needed an extra 25-foot extension to get to the far end of my front yard. Fortunately, this hose is just as well built as the other hose I have, so adding this new one onto my existing one was quick and kept things visually uniform. I had the expanding hose in my front yard, but it didn't last more than two months, so I replace it with this style of metal coiled hose. I am in the process of replacing all my rubber hoses with these stainless steel hoses because they are so durable and stand up to heat. For instance, I had a hose for less than one year that connects an outdoor washing machine, and it developed pin holes after months. I had another rubber hose that was the victim of a weed eater. Another hose recently ripped on a cactus. These stainless hoses are a little expensive but well worth it. ... show more

I was expecting this to have some weight to it since others I've seen do. This hose is incredibly light weight which is nice for use but I'm not sure it will hold up long term in the environment I live in, this is probably more appropriate for a condo garden vs a ranch or farm. The connectors feel like cheap plastic and light weight metal not brass (maybe it's just really thin brass I'm not sure). I'm willing to hang onto it and use it because I really needed a hose but I'm not confident about its toughness. ... show more

I'm pretty sure they make all these in the same factory in China. I've bought a few of these before, they are all the same, so far. They are nice and light weight, they don't tangle up and cause you to cuss as you try drag some heavy rubber hose around the place. They also don't degrade in the sun, (mine are sitting out in full sun all day long). So, what's not to like. Well, there's one minor bugaboo, and they all have them. The metal ends are easy to screw on to a outlet of screw in a spray head, but trying to tighten them is a whole different thing. There's a very thin bit of metal you have to try hold on to to really screw the end if tight, and it's smaller than the plastic they use to protect the hose at that point, so you can't get a good grip on it. A pair of pliers helps. But that's my only bitch about these hoses. Other than that, I like em. ... show more
