This 6.5ft Tiki umbrella is a lot bigger than I imagined, in the best way. I honestly didn’t measure anything out—I just took a chance based on the photos—and it turned out to be perfect. Right out of the box, it impressed me. It comes with its own carry bag that fits it perfectly, which is super convenient. I was expecting there to be loose pieces or shedding from the thatched material when I unpacked it, but there were no stragglers at all. That was a pleasant surprise! The “thatch” is made from a lightweight material that kind of reminds me of brown grocery bags or plastic shopping bags—but don’t let that fool you. It’s sewn directly onto the umbrella and feels secure and well-made. It gives off the tiki hut look without weighing down the frame. The umbrella itself is sturdy, easy to open and close, and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. The tilt feature and hanging hook are nice touches too. For the price, I genuinely think this is a great value—perfect for tropical vibes on the patio, by the pool, or even a themed party. Highly recommend!

This Tiki umbrella is a cute addition to boost the tropical vibe of your backyard. Looks decent and the tilt feature is nice for Tiki umbrellas in this price range. The Towel hook ring is also a nice addition. One thing to note, the diameter of the umbrella pole is smaller than a standard Patio umbrella, so it's not a snug fit and too loose for standard mounting in a Patio table. I wish I knew that ahead of time. I think this umbrella is best used at the beach. It has a sharpened tip on the end of the post that can be driven into the sand. My biggest concern is the plastic material used to create the thatch and some of the plastic components used in the umbrella mechanism. The plastic thatch looks like it will start disintegrating in the sun relatively quickly. I live in the desert and question whether this umbrella can make it past the summer. Time will tell!

After unpacking and assembling this Tiki style umbrella I could see that the design and construction is much better than some of the bargain styles on the market which don't have a tilt feature and are usually too short once they are placed in the ground. This one is taller, and larger in diameter and the pole is much more robust. Another nice feature is an adjustable quad hook system on the pole from which you can hang SMALL items (don't overdo it). There is a knurled plastic knob to tighten when you have the height adjusted to your liking. We did experience some slipping after making the adjustment and had to make sure to tighten it a bit more to eliminate this problem. Having said all that, we DO think this is a nice addition to our beach furniture!! We recommend it!!

I love how this tiki umbrella looks on my patio table. It instantly gives the space a fun beachy feel. It fits perfectly in a standard umbrella holder but it’s also lightweight and comes with a carrying bag, so you could easily bring it along for other outdoor setups. The structure feels sturdy and the fabric is high quality. It seems like it will hold up well with regular use. The tiki thatch is made of plastic and kind of reminds me of grocery bags, but honestly it looks cute and does the job. Now when I look out onto my patio, it feels like I’m at a little rustic resort by the beach. It brings a cheerful touch to the space along with functionality and shade.

This is not a permanent solution. We spent $35 on an all weather umbrella that we can just leave out in the rain. This umbrella costs a lot more and I don't feel comfortable leaving it out in the rain. The straw is made of plastic with a synthetic fabric under layer. It looks great from just a few feet away, but it would trap water that will then mildew. The opening mechanism is like a standard umbrella where you have to push the collar up to the top until it latches. It takes a bit of pushing and is not adjustable. Our $35 umbrella has a crank mechanism and can be opened to any degree you like. The hanging hook works well enough and can be adjusted to any height, but has an unsightly gap when tightened. The umbrella comes in two pieces so it can be stored or easily transported. The bottom of the post is pointed so it can easily be anchored in sand. I'm not sure why someone would insist on traveling with a Hawaiian style umbrella to the beach when there are cheaper, more sturdy options. If budget is not an issue and you want to have a Hawaiian style event, then this is a great option. It really does look good and I can imagine having a bunch of these around your backyard pool would give a great ambience. Given the price and concerns about rain exposure I have to leave this with just three stars.

I want sure what to expect regarding the hay like material. It's like a thick plastic bag material. Up close you can tell but from afar looks pretty legit. The umbrella comes with a carrying case & the stick is pointy so you could also poke it in the sand at the beach. It's super lightweight. It has a little clip which lets you bend it/angle it & it has 4 hooks inside on the pike to hang things. I'd recommend it. You'd make a statement at the beach rolling up with this umbrella.

This is a great travel umbrella with a fun, tropical look and some thoughtful features. It’s super portable, easy to set up, and I love that the top portion is quality and includes a tilt feature to help chase the shade throughout the day. That said, there are some trade-offs. There are quite a few plastic components, including the screw that holds the two poles together, which makes me question the long-term durability—especially for the price. I’ve had to give it a few good whacks to get it securely down into the sand and keep it from blowing away, and I do wonder how many uses those plastic parts can handle. If you’re using it occasionally for beach days or outdoor events and want something lightweight with a great aesthetic, it does the job. Just don’t expect heavy-duty hardware.
