  • worked perfect install 3 mins
tested everything in my oven sensors and fuse but everything seem to be just fine this item didn’t look bad but I ordered it anyways because it was fairly inexpensive two screws and three plugs super easy to install and when I turn the oven on the glow was immense and the oven worked immediately apparently the glow must be extremely bright if the glow from your current starter is just bright it may be the problem it has to be extremely bright and this worked perfect ... show more

  • Direct fit
Was a direct fit to my oven. Easy to install, seemed good quality, performed/heated the element well for the main burner to ignite. The one I removed would still glow but wouldn’t glow hot enough to turn the main burner on hence replacing

  • IT WORKS ... SO FAR .. SO GOOD - UPDATE 3 weeks later - FAIL
My 10-year-old Kenmore range/oven (Model 790.74333310) was no longer reaching the correct temperature in the oven, and it was taking longer each day. My last timed heat was 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. I did a little research and found I didn't need to buy a new oven $$$$$ or call out the appliance serviceman $$$, I could buy this little $25 dollar part and my troubles would be over. If you have any handyman skills this is a no-brainer. If not, just cruise on over to YouTube and watch a couple of videos. The plug was not a match on mine, but they provide the wire nuts to enable you to splice. Total time to install was about 30 minutes. Time to 350 degrees was 10 minutes after the installation. This igniter is not as substantial (well built) as the original .. but for now, it is doing the job. I'll update this review after I've had some time to test its endurance under fire (pun intended). For now, I'm a happy camper. If this igniter fails, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy the OEM igniter ($120). UPDATE: Failed after a few weeks .... Worked great right up until this evening - Save your money and buy the OEM replacement .. this $25 igniter will not last. ... show more

  • Worked great! If your oven is clean, it'll be great!
So this part fixed my oven not lighting problem. After doing a bit of research, my Kenmore oven, about 16 years old had a "lazy ignitor". To see if this is your situation, apparently the test is turn on your oven, it won't light, then turn on the stove. If oven lights, you're in my situation, lazy ignitor. This fit great, works great. The part comes with 2 ceramic wire nuts for a reason. The connector sucks to unplug. I did not use the nuts and unplugged it. It required removing most of the back panel, and an extra person to tilt the oven. That being said, oem part which would have the same difficulties was $85 and shipping. This is a great value, works well, if you use the nuts, probably 15 minute install. Don't use the nuts, probably over an hour and requires working on the back of the unit. Tldr: works well, take the short cut, don't even have to pull out oven. Correct way, sucks, pull oven. Did mine hard way, took an hour and help to tilt unit. Huge savings, would do again, part worked and fit great! ... show more

  • It got the job done
My oven

  • Fixed
You gotta have some basic handy skills to replace these, depending on your oven (I have some kenmore one) and do some troubleshooting, possibly with a multimeter to determine if it's an ignitor problem. Could always watch some videos if this stuff intimidates you. It took me a long time removing stuff, and I foolishly removed some parts that I realized at the end I didn't need to remove (I could just pull out the bread drawer, instead of taking it off the tracks hehe) but the ignitor is night/day. If you notice your oven isn't heating up, but you can feel SOME heat or see a glow, this part is almost certainly what needs swapped out. A gas oven will have a flame bar like a grill, a rod with a bunch of little holes. There's a little gate that connects to this ignitor and if the ignitor isn't getting hot enough and pulling enough electricity, that "gate" won't open and allow gas to reach rhe flame bar, and then igniting. So if your current one is glowing slightly, but there's still not a lot of heat and no actual flame, I'd bet money this part is what needs replaced. And it's cheap/easy to do. I think very rarely would the issue be that "gate" that switches open and allows the gas to flow. ... show more

  • Flame On!
My stove is working again thanks to this little oven igniter. I turned my oven on, no gas smell, no fire and nothing happened. I called the gas company out and they directed me to what the problem was. No issues with this igniter, as my prior igniter suddenly stopped working. Seek professional help and keep the flame going. ... show more
