I'm sorry, but the woodgrain side of the blades look like cheap 1960s furniture. I'm glad that the flip side is black...... I will be using the black side down only! I need to have an electrician install this fan as installation isn't as a straight forward as other ceiling fans I've installed. (Or maybe my brain just can't process instructions - I am going through autoimmune brain fog with difficulty concentrating)....... Everything about this fan (aside from the wood grain color) seems to be of good quality. I don't like air conditioning, so I tend to use ceiling fans and window fans. This is a good replacement fan for my bedroom. ... show more
