This little air conditioner WORKS! I tried another one that went in the window and it was awful! This one blows a lot of cold air out and is perfect for my little bedroom. The hose going to the window could have been a little longer but we made it work - it had to go behind the bed and quite a ways. The media could not be loaded. Well I know the item is refurbished, but it says it's an excellent condition. Well there is a couple of things that were broken and damaged and the AC's got tape all the way around it like it's holding it together. Besides that I used old-fashioned duct tape to fix things. But besides that it cools very good my room is nice and cool. So I'm going to give it a try and see how it continues to work. I bought two I still haven't opened a second one yet......... Update 8/7/25.. the refurbished AC is working fantastic and no issues with it besides what I mentioned above and the other AC was new and it's working amazing too. So I changed my 3 stars to 5 star. I love that they turn on and off by themselves and the sound is not bad or loud but you can hear it obviously. Overall I am happy. ... show more

I bought this 6000 btu unit refurbished and I was getting ready to ask for a replacement for both units I ordered because they kept turning off and not getting cold enough today it turned off and had a 00 code which means problems with your electrical outlets and service to those outlets it said some rural areas have problems concerning brown outs I live in Wilkes Barre pa not considered a rural area but after going online to figure problems with my two units that all the problems I had were all related to my power source I unplugged both units and plugged them into surge protectors I have on different outlets and this resolved problems If you think you have a problem check online before you replace them ... show more

When I received this product, the box appeared that somebody else had already opened it and repackaged it. They were parts of the machine that were also clearly already used by someone else, including a piece of tape on the machine that seems like someone was trying to hold it together. This device makes an abnormal worrying sound that did not happen. The first couple times I used it and now happens every time I use it. It shuts off randomly for absolutely no reason and needs to be turned off and turned back on in order to restart. It also showed an error code where the water needed to be dumped, which is not abnormal, but it was only used two times before that happened. I don’t know that all of these devices are faulty, but this device in particular definitely is and I hope they do not resell the exact same device to a third person after I return it. ... show more

Perfect for a small bedroom. Does a great job keeping cool. Can be kinda noisy but I like that as it helps me sleep. The IR remote can be easily emulated and automated.

Efficient in a small apartment. I noticed it shuts off when it approaches set temperature but still turns back if room gets warmer. After a while it does need to be emptied and is typically shown when it's not cooling as efficiently. Noise level is like a typical window AC. Caution of weight is to be noted! ... show more

This was an awesome price. The only reason I gave it three stars is because there was still water in there and I had to clean the filters for it to work, but once I did that it works perfect and it is my room nice and cool. I was upset at first I thought it was broken and wanted to return it, but after I cleaned it and dumped it, it worked fine. Remote control works good. The noise level is not bad.
