Efficient in a small apartment. I noticed it shuts off when it approaches set temperature but still turns back if room gets warmer. After a while it does need to be emptied and is typically shown when it's not cooling as efficiently. Noise level is like a typical window AC. Caution of weight is to be noted! ... show more

I have a west-facing apartment where summers are brutal (forecast is 108 today). Bought this a year ago as of 3 days ago. It's 90+ out and the compressor doesn't want to kick on. It came to me so broken that I've had to use duct tape to keep it together and replace it every week or 2. The tube won't connect to the part that goes into the window without duct tape and the back brackets for the tube itself on the actual machine are broken off so I have to tape the tube heavily on both sides. The device also came fairly busted on the sides and bottom but didn't seem to matter. Because of all this inefficiency it doesn't do a good job at cooling when it did work. I doubt hypersystems will fix the issue I messaged them about. ... show more

    • Works but not efficient
Got this for a little shed i finished out. It works pretty good, easy to set up, and not too loud. My only problem is it only an exhaust hose out the window so it will cool the room but it just sucks in hot air from all the cracks in the windows, doors, vents, ect. It definitely works harder than it needs too. The water pan fills up very fast (in Arkansas) so I just pumped in permanent drain hose out the bottom of the shed. 3 out of 5 stars it does work but efficiency is definitely an after though ... show more
