This was an excellent purchase for my needs. It appears to be a quality, well built, 50A extension cable designed for EVs and functions as advertised. On connecting the extension cable to the standard 15 ft, 240V 40A charger cable for my two cars, there was no heat generated in either cable and if anything the charging speed honestly seems a little faster. I have two hybrid vehicles in my 3 car garage and with this 21 ft extension cable I could charge a 3rd EV with a charger port on the far side of the car in the 3rd bay. Eliminated my need to shuffle cars back and forth which was a pain in the rear! I'll provide an update a few months from now...unless I uncover an issue sooner. ... show more

I have had this cord less than 2 years and the wiring harness connection has separated. I am not over stretching cord and I keep inside in house when not using. I am throwing away since I don’t need fire or damage to occur to vehicle. Looking for another manufacturer. It also no longer delivers 40 amp power I used Electrical tape over connection but this made me nervous due to high voltage. Cannot recommend. ... show more

    • Doesn't break the pilot signal

So it works. I've only tested to 20 amps as that's all my evse can do. But one glaring issue is that it does not breake the pilot signal and stop power flow like it should. Instead you have to unplug the female side first.
